After playing for Detroit, a perennial loser, I figured Stafford would give the Rams a discount so we can try to "run it back", but we shall see.

I'm curious to see if Snead keeps all those late picks or tries to move up a little with those picks. The Rams certainly won't be able to keep all those players, although Snead and McVay have had a lot of hits on mid to late round picks.

I think they look for guys who they think they can coach up, but already have it between the ears and love the game.

Other than Jacob Harris and Rochelle, we haven't typically been greedy to hoard SPARQ guys nearly as much as we've gone after guys who are solid above the neck.

We've also used the 7th round to essentially snipe guys who would be very in demand as a UDFA.

Day three for us will be pretty fun and we have the track record of developing our day 2/3 guys.

I'm really curious on the extension numbers for him and AD. If they cripple us, I don't want to hear AD complain about not getting the crew and "running it back".

That's what annoys me most, Von teasing DEN, LAR, and even DAL fans. And the players all hype for running it back.

I'll never believe an athlete when they say it isn't about the money.

We have our work cut out for us. I'm anxious to see what the plan is.

100% this.

I have no problem with players demanding to be paid top dollar. But if they do that, and eat up a huge chunk of their team's cap space, it is a bit ridiculous to later complain that the team isn't bringing in enough top free agents etc. to assemble a dream team. How blind can you be? If you want to be part of a dream team.... take less money. That is the only way it is sustainable long-term.

100% agree. You can either have your money, or a stronger team around you taking less money. Can't have both. Or can't demand your money and then exoebt other players to want to take less than they deserve.

I’m sure we will never know but the DEN/DAL hype seems a little far fetched now. But obviously BUF bit at it…so moving forward.

I would love to see a couple of good signings also, but I have total trust in Snead and McVay. Whether or not they sign someone now or mid-season, I have no reason to doubt anything they're doing. They have proven themselves too many times. I just like to sit back and enjoy the show.

The Stafford and AD extensions have me worried, I think they are going to be jaw dropping.

In one mont we went from let’s run it back, to I need to get what’s mines.

Yep. I'm done with that shit...you'll get more respect when you're honest about it.

It is about the money. Don't fucking lie to my face and try to pretend it isn't.

Run it back, my ass...

All AD really cares about is McVay returning. IMO. I seriously doubt he's the player who is calling the GM and complaining and shit.

I also think this retirement talk is BS. He's in his prime. Yeah I know, other guys walked away at that stage. But they weren't guys who were fully dressed two hours before every practice in college in anticipation of working. If AD did pull the plug he would lose his fucking mind in retirement and be back in uniform by midseason.

Well, all that above, could be very true....
As one that just retired, I can see that sort of boredom playing out for some people.
OTOH, if I stashed away $150M, things over here would look a 'hella bit different.... :laugh1:

Los Angeles Rams do not overpay attempting to re-sign Von Miller. Instead, 33-year-old Miller fleeces the Buffalo Bills to the tune of a 6 year, $120 million contract. Per Adam Schefter and Ian Rappaport.

I know the guaranteed money and years are what counts but 6/120 made my “good news” sound better.

Hey guys in the midst of all the Von Miller gloom what about kicking the tires on Cory Littleton?
I know he stunk it up in Vegas but he was very good for us.
I gotta believe he'll come a lot cheaper than Bobby Wagner at this point in his career.
Thots?

I think AD is the type of guy who goes into wrestling after his career is over. You could do cool stunts on the mat with him given his agility and it would scratch that itch for him a bit. Plus his size would make for some interesting visuals with him holding his own vs bigger dudes in the stunts.

Either way AD is not like the rest of these clowns who are going to retire and get fat. He's a bit psycho so will need to keep busy. Might even end up being that rare great player who gets into coaching.

Still early for us to jump in to the scramble unless we have our heart set on a game changer.
We may be waiting another couple weeks to get involved

I'd start Jones. Howard would be my pairing when in base which probably won't be all that often. And I'd draft a big safety conversion project mid to late to fill in the depth behind them.

They are missing a thumper back there. But I'd still have that behind edge and corners on the defensive need list. I'd even draft another DL before I'd go get another ILB.

After this season you evaluate Jones and address things if necessary. But I expect he's about to hold shit down for us.

Merlin,
Sounds like a plan. Still gotta figure Littleton (mebbe also Fowler) will be looking to resurrect his career and might be willing to take a deep discount with the team he had success with previously.
