Well, with the losses of Williams and Mundt AND MILLER (Very Disappointing but not a surprise after that huge offer from the Bills!) can we at least get some kind of good news soon like the Rams getting Stafford and AD to agree to extensions and possibly even a quality FA Signing or two??? I know that sounds really greedy but I like to dream!!!

That's where I'm at! ANYTHING good. C'mon! We're the Super Bowl Champs and should be attracting FAs like crazy from what we've been told!

Slim salary cap room. We have to pick and choose our (few) battles. I would say we're maybe focusing on OBJ..but then again, how much help if any can he be next season? Wagner? Other potentials?

We've resigned I think 5 FAs. So I mean it's not like the Rams have been sitting on their lorals. Everyone thats left so far have been expected to leave. Miller obviously left for that money. The bills overpaid big time on a 32 year old declining player. Yes he's still good but he's not getting any better or younger. No way the Rams would or should match that

Bills get Miller for 3 years/$51m guaranteed. That’s $17m/yr. Von won’t sniff $120m. Sounds like Rams were ok with the per year but didn’t want to guarantee $51m.

I’m sure we’ll hear something tomorrow. The Von news came late in the day. Sounds like Snead isn’t getting any sleep tonight.

The Stafford and AD extensions have me worried, I think they are going to be jaw dropping.

In one mont we went from let’s run it back, to I need to get what’s mines.

The Oline is solidified for next year. Personally, I think that is the most important thing they needed to do and they accomplished it early.

Yeah, but we were packaging those with paying Von $17M in mind. I also don't think Stafford is gonna want $50M since he knows that he needs a full team to win it all and he's already got more than enough money and he's a winning junky like AD, although he's gonna want to be paid.

Now, they can

a) save that money and front load AD's contract more
b) save the money and front load Stafford's contract more
c) spend the money on guys out there or soon to be out there like Danielle Hunter or Stephon Gilmore or Bobby Wagner
d) wait and maybe spend the money on post June 1st cap cuts/mid-season acquisitions

The ADHD (ADD-I) part of my brain just wants those happy brain chemicals (DOSE - Dopamine, Oxytocin, Seratonin, Endorphins). Sign someone that will make me happy, dangit!

The autistic part of my brain just wants to see the pattern. I don't understand what's the plan and it's driving me batty.

The fan part of my brain wants to win Free Agency... which is stupid, but the fan part of my brain is so stupidly competitive that I'm like AD... I want the Rams to win at ping pong, Free Agency, mascot, Super Bowl... not in that order, of course... but you name it, I want us to win it... the fan part of my brain isn't listening to how teams winning FA mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

He will never see the last three years of that contract, but, $17M a year? Hard to pay that.
I love what Von brought to the team and his pass rush was very good....I was really impressed with his edge play against the run. Very, very good.
That said....$10-$12 M a year for Von....I could see that. $17 M? pass.

That’s kinda the way it goes for the SB champs and I would guess most of us would sign up for that in a second. Everyone wins in this deal, Von didn’t want to leave Denver but he was the best pass rusher in the playoffs and now teams are throwing money at him. Teams were always scooping up patriots FA’s with mixed results let’s see what happens to this crop.

I hate to see any FAs leave.
I don't like seeing Corbett leave as the Rams gave up picks to get him.
He was a very solid G for the Rams and a contributor on a championship team.
He will be a Ram to me.
Love what he brought to the team.
That said, the Rams already have an interesting competition for RG next year.
Shelton, Evans and the dark horse to me, Brewer. Add in a draft pick and UDFA or two into the mix and maybe a cheap FA signing....the Rams should be able to fill that spot basically in house.

The perennial shit teams win free agency and use high #1 draft picks every year. Jets, Jags, Giants, Lions etc. The Browns began to make some noise but look to me like their in no man's land.

Does anyone here really think that winning FA this year is going to move the needle for Jacksonville? I don't. Then again i don't like Lawrence, but even if you do...all i see is a shit organization spending money.

After playing for Detroit, a perennial loser, I figured Stafford would give the Rams a discount so we can try to "run it back", but we shall see.

I'm curious to see if Snead keeps all those late picks or tries to move up a little with those picks. The Rams certainly won't be able to keep all those players, although Snead and McVay have had a lot of hits on mid to late round picks.

It's the same story every year. The Rams will make a splash but it will be for the right guy

Yep we knew they were gonna let guys get signed away. I'm just surprised Von got away, figured we'd be scrambling on the OL instead. Though I cannot blame the Rams for not paying him that contract.

Plenty of time left for the bargains. Maybe the Rams do some good things there.

ya people should not be suprised - we signed a lot of high priced starts the last few years.

This was expected.

Williams didnt look very good last year.
