Not sure if this got posted or not, but some interesting reps here. #18 (Ferg) hits the sled correctly & shoves it downfield ("good.." says a coach), while #87 D.Allen stands it up & throws it down in disgust & gets a comment from a coach lol.
The WR's running routes at the end was very telling. Watching Adams... that guy is an artist. Keep an eye on #15... Mumpfield. Nice find, Rams. But one of them is still rounding off his routes...

Agreed on Mumfield. Surprise find. Gives me that Nelson Spruce kind of vibe but with a much better chance of making PS at least!!

There should be spots available in the receiver depth. Kupp, DRob and Tyler Johnson are all gone. They only signed one new receiver - Adams. There is potentially 2 spots open. One, if you are being conservative. I think Mumpfield makes the roster.

Look at the depth chart.
1st string: Puka, Adams, Atwell
2nd string: Whittington, Mumpfield, Xavier Smith.

Was anyone that impressed with Smith that they think he’s more than the 6th option?

The remaining receivers are all UDFA’s. Mumpfield should end up as receiver #5

Good breakdown! I would be happy with that lineup. Thanks!

I think it's Mumpfield's job to lose. Xavier Smith has 6 receiving yards (1 rec) and 36 rushing yards (4 att) in his career. Those 42 yards tie Austin Trammel for 20th, on the players who've played for Sean McVay yardage stats. Where he has done well is on his 16 punt returns (9.3) and 6 KRs (25.8). Instead of being concerned with Mumpfiled being one of the final receivers, he had better worry about Britain Covey. Actually, not really, I don't think either one of them being on the PS would see them snatched up by someone. But all things being equal >>>>>>>> Covey back 100% healthy & Xavier not yet having a lightbulb come on <<<<<<<<<< I think Covey might be the better option. But what do I know?

Smith had a couple nice returns last year but don’t see value of keeping him on the 53 man roster. I’m high on Mumpfield and think Whitt can spell Nacua some. But I’m wondering if Amari Cooper would be a better WR4 than either of those. Looks like he could be signed relatively cheap with maybe some incentives built in.

Love the sureness he attacks that ball with in the air, picking it with his hands. Just need him to learn how to extend and fight through the coverage option on contested catches. But he's got the skills man.

I'm excited about seeing this dude in live game action just one more weapon for the offense. Plus, one more advantage, he has a good veteran to learn from in Higbee, who seems to be a willing teacher.

Interesting take. I forgot about them signing Covey.

Not sure if this has been posted a couple of days old, but great TC interview with Terrence Ferguson. I know some were not happy with the choice, but the kid is grounded for sure and this interview was awesome. Funny @Mojo Ram communicated that Ferguson was more of a long strider and being more fast then quick at the 8:14 mark Ferguson talks about his high school days and being like a Deer and a long strider.

Landman instead of Reeder. Is that correct? It would be Landman and Speights? I hope not Landman and Reeder.

We are doomed if Reeder starts over Speights.
Be shocked by that, although in the press conference DC Chris Shula gave a shoutout to former ILB Christian Rozeboom. Hopefully, Troy Reeder after training camp breaks is added to the coaching staff as Assistant ILB Coach.

I would be okay with that.

He had decent smarts for a LB.

I think Lake & Speights had a huge impact on that by Lake putting him in the right position on plays and Rozeboom playing off of Speights instincts. Merlin put it better on another post in another thread.
