Funny you say that, but I do have a picture of me in football Cardinal pajamas in the 70’s. I was probably 5 in the photo. I need to dig that out.

I used to keep my yard real nice. My neighbor was the kind of guy that mowed his grass twice a week and trimmed his trees to keep them under 10' and trimmed his shrubs three times a year. But we had some large trees on my property and I wanted them cut down. He gave me permission to drop them in his yard and even agreed to pay half of the cost because he hated the leaves. I found a guy to cut them cheap and I cleaned then up with my crew. Between the tree and stump removal I did 5 big trees for $3000. He owed me $1500. He refused to pay it afterward. A year later he started mowing beyond where those trees were. Then he starts putting a fence in on my side. I went out and told him he needs to survey because according to him, he's on my property. He started screaming at me and his nasty troll of a wife runs out screaming at me. This went on for a few days anytime I'd go out back. They were mad because I put a flower bed in where that they claimed was their property. But I went by what he said the line was on that end. He did get a survey eventually because I threatened to call the cops and it turns out that 3 those trees, the three biggest, were on his property! My flower bed wasn't though. But the trees were no longer there and I didn't get pictures so I couldn't take him to court. That asshole screwed me. He insisted that he didn't plant the trees. He said the lady who bought my house did. I didn't plant them either and they weren't on my property.

His yard is downhill from my yard. His fence only hides some of it. So I stopped taking care of the backyard. I junked it up, put in a trampoline so my kids would be out back screaming all the time. I started grilling out there and blaring music. Anything to piss him off more. Then just as I'm enjoying annoying that mean old fucker he gets pancreatic cancer and starts looking real bad. So I backed off on annoying him so much. He was dead in 8 months. I'm glad he's gone. But his wife is still there. It really sucks having neighbors like that. We used to get along too at one time.

I guess the moral of the story is that you should always get your property surveyed when you buy an old house in an old development and boundaries are unclear. $500 would have saved me about $2000, a lot of work, and a lot of annoyance.

He was impressive in that loss. In the first half it looked like neither team had a defense. Then they both decided to show up in the second half. Kind of like the Rams defense early this season. Only not quite as good.

Agree 100 percent on the survey part, always get or have one.

I've almost had my own real estate agent try and sell off about an acre of my land.

Then in the house I'm in now had a neighbor say when I moved in,hey you need to cut those trees,I laughed and said Ah No,why I already knew it wasnt.

Imho pay the 4 5 bucks hundred for a Legit inspection of the house and then the 4 5 hundred for the Survey .Always when buying a house.

No vent here watching the other 3 guys lose last week, Yee Haw.

Apologize for the double, My Bad, stupid phone keeps bouncing in and out like crazy.

So, just to be clear and consistent - if Goff had a rating of 150 and 100 yards rushing and another TD but "couldn't lead his team to the win", that'd be fair criticism of Goff here?
You kidding? Goff throws up a 108 rating while they DO win, and he still gets criticized

I am starting to see enough of Murray to know he’s not a bust. Still not sure his ceiling, but he’s good enough for sure.

Watching him run... he seems to be avoiding hits well. But, his size is always looming for me and I wouldn’t want him taking a ton of hits.
dislike running QB's, Murray just one hard hit away from a shortened season, glad he's a Cardinal

Lamar Jackson now has 7 straight games with less than 209 yards passing. Kylie Murray is following in his footsteps.

Sure you can win some games and be an MVP running around as a QB but it will eventually catch up with you.

Long term winning franchises build around pocket passers.
Kyler Murray is better than Lamar Jackson. LJ is an amazing talent but he is the quintessential running back who can throw a little bit. Murray can throw, better than Jackson for sure, or RGIII, Daunte Culpepper etc
Long term winning franchises build around franchise QB's, period. Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Russell Wilson show what a QB who can break contain can do

I don't think that's the case anymore. The run first guys don't have longevity, but guys that extend plays like RW, Rodgers, Ben, and Mahomes have long-term success, and the league is trending that way with guys like Josh Allen.

In 50 plus yrs the only "break contain QBs", to win a SB have been Steve Young, Russell Wilson, and Mahomes. And I would argue they mostly scrambled to buy time, especially Wilson. Young would take off more early in his career, but not as much during that SB season.

In any event we were told Randall Cunningham was the future. Then it was Vick, then Kaepernick, and RG3, and I am sure there are others that I am forgetting.

Now its Lamar Jackson. I have already said I would not trade Goff for Jackson. I think his shelf life will be short due to injuries and the fact that he still struggles when he is in obvious passing situations when his team trails.

Mahomes is a different animal. His greatness is due to his arm talent not his legs. Now his mobility helps for sure, but like Wilson he often scrambles to buy time.

I still think you can win big with a pure pocket passer if he has the arm talent and weapons around him.

Rogers, Mahomes, and Wilson just have the best of both worlds and those three may end up being 3 of the top ten greatest of all time. In other words, they don't grow on trees.

So to say you just need a mobile QB simplifies it way too much. You would like a mobile QB that has outstanding arm talent and great decision making ability. Great to have a guy run around with a rifle arm, but if he is an idiot that doesn't work either. See Johnny Manziel and possibly Baker Mayfield.

Agreed. I'd also take Josh Allen over both of them as of today. IMO he's the best young QB around. He's been throwing to basically one legit receiver with an underutilized/pedestrian run game and getting it done.

Why are you leaving out Rodgers? Thats 3 winners of last 10 Superbowls.
As for that over rated doosh dog Steve Young, he had 70 rushes for 454 yards and 6 TD.
In his final season as a starter.
I'm not saying you need to be a running QB or a drop back guy in order to be successful, I'm saying the great ones are what they are. Sure you can list the running QB who have failed, but conversely there is an equally long list of drop back QB who failed as well. Bradford, Leaf, Rosen, Winston, Every QB that Cleveland has drafted.......

Allen is good, wicked strong arm and amazing wheels for a guy that size.
He's got a lot of Cam Newton in him from what I've seen, as in can look completely unstoppable at times. And other, looks like he couldnt hit the ocean from the Bow of the Queen Mary
We saw him come apart in the 2nd half against the Rams, and he was pretty awful in the playoff loss.
If Murray was a couple inches taller, I'm afraid of what he would be

Agree about Josh Allen... he has a cannon for an arm, is one of the best running QB's, and scores a lot of TD's running the ball. But his biggest problem is that he also makes a couple of boneheaded plays every game and he is going to get hurt at some point. He is as tough as they come, but fearless like Carson Wentz, unfortunately.

My oversight on Rodgers... So yeah... 4 guys won SBs.

Interesting that 3 of them only won it once... Once!
Mahomes likely will win more, not so sure on Wilson or Rogers.

Point is drop back QBs still win it abd its still a team sport.

Prior to Mahomes, these were the most recent SB winning QBs

My grandfather could beat these guys in a foot race...and he's dead!
