Thanks as always Bubba for the report.

Brown by now should be showing well in that rotation. Biggest disappointment with that is everything was aligned for him to step into a big role in this defense. Of course that could still happen, who knows, but once again it's a bad sign he's not rolling with the ones and hearing that he's not up to snuff in his conditioning is worse in many ways. Because again coming into this camp the opportunity is right there given the guys who went out the door.

And same with Bruss. He does have the injury question in coming back from it. But why play him at RT where there is just as much if not more risk of knee injury out on that edge, unless they have conceded that he's not going to be able to compete at RG. I was hoping he'd be a year two revelation to give us a power run game on that right side. Oh well.

On the flip side it's good to hear Anchrum seems to have a spot locked up. Hope he can seize the opportunity and stay healthy.

Wondering how that OL stacks for preseason games. Bennett gonna be using that mobility. :laugh3:
I have to think lack of conditioning on Browns' part is a personal failing. How does he not arrive to camp in the best condition of his life?

Time to scan over who's available and then assist Brown into his new career at Wendy's.

If Brown doesn't step up, makes the Gaines loss look even worse than it already is.

WOW ??? We know WHO YOU SUPPORT!! Bobby Brown is going to be fine. I guess you felt that way in the preseason of 2022 as well ?
—Murch was gassing yesterday,he was digging in.
I thought he’d be in better shape than he was.Personally I didn’t notice Bobby Brown much, except in the Bull Ring he has looked good.
-Day 1 he made a big tackle for loss & let everyone know it.
SAD RESPONSE LOYAL SEAHAG,especially when it’s not in Blue Font for once. It’s actually your real response.
—Actually really funny Meriland -Jake Funk. Beautiful for gracious skies.

A’ Robinson was the better of the 2 Ram DT’s imo.

Greg Gaines was an effort guy.I liked Gaines a lot.If you were up close to him you’d probably be surprised how short he is.

I’m not going to take anything away from Greg Gaines.I couldn’t have asked more from him. It’s just how HILARIOUS to me how FAST RAM FANS turn on players(coaches) so fast.

Sometimes I also think some people forget that tv’s set switched to color in the 60’s.
Who knows-but from my vantage point of were I was at training camp compared to 99% of everyone there.

I also know the numbers, names, schools,& where these Rams players have played more than 99% of the fans at training camp.
There’s some seriously knowledgeable Fans at Training Camp as well, who know The NFL & college football better than myself.
— I know my own views is not all that great either, but I tend to not except it.I try to give The Doubt to The Rams Players & Roster.

Maybe when you come out of retirement you might still be able to have a career in square hamburgers. Maybe taking a peg out of you kniw where might help it come out of a round hole.
- Some peoples chit don’t stink.

It will be interesting to see who has a better career as a Ram(NFL) when it’s all said & done.Bobby Brown or Greg Gaines.
As of right now there is no comparison, but talent wise Greg Gaines has him beat as well.

Bobby Brown though is an ascending player who at the end of 2023 & beyond The Rams better.

Your comment on him is weak when you hardly have a personal view of a RAM PLAYER.

It’s your privilege though. You’ve Earned it & have protected us in general. Doesn’t take away the person or accountability. We can all blame others.

I’m not proud of my Life.I know you should be Proud of yours.Your probably at better Ram Fan than myself.

You can't compare the DL with past years. They look slow because of Morris plays a Fangio style, combo 2 gap/ 1 gap read / react style of play. It's exactly why most teams have given up on Fangio's read / react style and have turned to a 1 gap attacking style DL. Donald had his best years playing that style with Phillips and Staley. I've always known that Bobby Brown wasn't going to cut it as a 2 gap 0T NT. He's no Suh or Robinson. Brown struggles to shed even though he supposedly knows how. He gets zero push and is manhandled by any strong center. But Morris gutted the DL to install his Fangio read react style of DL. The Rams are paying the price for McVay favoring his buddy instead of firing his butt like he did everyone else.

Donald needs to disregard Morris and return to the aggressor he's always been. IMO it's a reason Miller left, because he knew playing under Morris was a career killer. Floyd was fine until he played with Morris and had to drop into coverage 30% of the time. You take your best pass rushers and drop one into coverage and tell the other to slow down and allow himself to be triple teamed? Yeah real smart Morris.

IMO you can't judge the edges fairly simply because of how Morris is having them play. Playing read/react is for a DL that has marginal talent and wouldn't get there anyway. People only see the uber soft cushions of the CBs and they don't think about how Morris basically does the same thing on the DL. Morris' philosophy isn't to play on the offensive side of the LOS but to simply defend the LOS which means his DLs get pushed back.

Me too, Brother. Me too!

Anchrum had his chance last season & got hurt his first play at RG. In comes Alaric Jackson & did really well. They went down & scored on his first drive at RG.
-The Rams have some depth.

Murchison, if out of shape, might be an indication of why he was cut by the Titans, despite showing he has talent. Maybe he lacks maturity and thus he is here...for now.

Hopefully he figures it out because he has some burst that this DL needs.

Wasn’t really trying to criticize him.He liked good in 1 on 1’s Monday/Tuesday. Thursday he was working hard, but didn’t look as explosive.
He has an excellent first move & should be nice rotational piece. The Rams have a lot of nice DT’s.Johna Williams on Thursday was working his tail off.
Murch was working hard, but sucking wind.He was digging deep & jersey very sweety(wet). He was hustling by down the sideline off the field going to Henderson (DT group).
What I meant (mean) by out of shape is his belly looked (fat) weird with jelly rolls.
—He isn’t proportioned right.

Murchison has always been short and light at DT; I think he could be best served by dropping weight and putting on muscle instead. He needs to stay in AD’s hip pocket if he wants to succeed; he could learn a lot from him. He’s a solid enough pass rusher and run stopper, but if he dropped the excess weight, he could be even quicker and last longer stamina-wise.

I don’t know all about that.

RAMBALL’s report WestcoastRam brought up a couple of takes that really brings to LIFE what I saw & thought would be true.

Earnest Brown is a SPONGE from Day1.He got cut & picked up & then brought back.
Anyways I’ll post more later.Point being though is there are a lot of Ram DL/DT’s getting overlooked & viewed wrong.

IMO there is no way Murch is able to change his body type.He is what he is.When AD99 wasn’t there it was Murch beating the O’Line 1 on 1’s.

Hey I can't find this anywhere--are the Rams playing any of those joint-practice scrimmages, prior to the preseason games?
Yes, there'll be joint practices with both the Raiders and Broncos prior to our preseason games with them. Not sure of the exact dates.
