Totally agree our Team just feels different this year. However, I think it's partially because it's not boring to watch our games this year. Scoring is fun, Defensive games aren't haha.

Going into Dal and picking up a W is huge tho, I'll give them that. If we win this week I'll starting believing this young team. Just too soon for me

Fair enough... I'm not 100% sold yet either... if I had to guess, I'd say I'm around 55% sold (hey, sounds like an idea for a poll )

That defense needs to show improvement!!

I also understand where you're coming from. I know it's a new year, new team but other teams will eventually figure out our offense and we will struggle to score points in some contest.

Maybe other teams won't figure out our offense. They didn't figure out the Skins offense under McVay, did they?

McVay + Adjustments = Confusion!

Hey man im right there with you. I add some tequila to the mix tho. :mrburnsevil:

But seriously I want nothing more than to have our Rams win and win big. I just don't think we're there just yet.

i can almost promise you we wont score 35 on Seattle.

Seattle has a 78.8 passer rating against, 8th in league. This is in spite of being T-20th in sacks. They're 4th in the league in yards allowed. Stats show their secondary is ballin.

Taking a deeper look at their third down conversion allowed, though, and in particular their away game totals, you can see their defense is not playing at a fully elite level, as they're giving up over 43%, which is good for 20th in the league. I would guess they're giving up a lot of favorable third down and distance situations on the road, basically.

So my take on Seattle's defense is that they're pretty much an elite unit vs the pass, however they do have concerns in this matchup with it being an away game and the fact that if they can't get pressure on Goff they might have probs. But either way you look at it this is definitely going to be a measuring stick type matchup for our offense, so I hope they play better than they did at home vs Washington.

train

Pessimist.

I'm expecting 18-1, at which point the Chargers will give up on LA and their 3000 or so actual home fans a game and go play in a high school stadium in San Diego.

Seifert: Buffalo. A defense that is holding opponents to an NFL-low 13.5 points per game provides more cover ... and more long-term stability. The Rams' defense has been gashed for 26.3 points per game (28th in the NFL), putting their own offense in an unsustainable position.

First off let me say,I love Tyrod Taylor. What he is doing without Watkins and Woods
is pretty special.76.9 CMP% against the Denver defense is impressive.
Go Bills.Dethrone those cheatin pats.

As to the qoute from seifert,If he thinks that Wade and the talent we have
on D is going to going to continue to give up 26.3 pts. a game,he is sorely
mistaken. If anybody on this forum believes Wade will not come through,
they are mistaken as well.Mark my words.By playoff time or earlier.
Wade will have this D firing on all cylinders and when that happens
We will be the team NOBODY wants to meet come playoff time!

I'm actually not worried about the defense....Dallas has a VERY good offensive team...their defense sucks...and we improved from week 2 and 3....

I still need the O to continue to get better...and use all of the weapons...esp. Watkins, Woods, and Austin....

A word about our O.

It’s not gonna be easy for any other team to slow it down, much less shut it down.

Because it’s so damned diversified. McVay is a clever and creative O mind that can keep D’s guessing all the time. And he has the talent throughout the O to stress any D on any play at any time.

Rams can beat you with the run or the pass or with ST. The D is a work in progress but I have faith in Wade.

If Wade “fixes” this D (as he has every other one he’s had), we are a shoe-in to make the playoffs. Barring catastrophic key injuries, that is.

right but our defense last year was light years better than our defense this year. We gave up yards but not the points we're giving up this year. Just saying.
Let's not put our defense last year on that kind of pedestal. Need I remind you that we gave up 28, 32, 30, and 31 points in our first 6 games?

This is a different team ... last year means squat ... we knew weren't gonna score more that 17 points a game the other team knew we weren't gonna score .. Not one team was scared of the Rams last year

Britt wasn't scaring anyone
Quick sure as hell wasn't scaring anyone
Austin drew the majority of the coverage
Keenum wasn't scaring anyone (and Goff didn't scare anyone last year )
Fisher was a laughing stock

Oh this year I hear you ask ?

Gurley is terrorfying teams
Watkins people are scared of him
Woods has more talent in his left butt check than last years wr corps
"XYZ is a poor mans cooper Kupp" Wes welker will be surpassed by kupp
Higs Everrett are starting to show up in the run and run game
Not to mention Reynolds waiting in the wings
And that's just the "weapons" improved play from saffold brown and havs and the man monster whit and sully have improved our o line what we given up 3-4 sacks
Goff is proving he was worth the number one pic and wil only get better

The D will click its a new system and the starting unit has played like 4 games together

I'm not predicting superbowls or 15-1 records I've always said .500 will suffice this year 8-8 (I think we go over ) but I know this other teams fans may not be scared of the Rams the media may not think the Rams are
Real but there's 31 other teams getting a little worried about that little team in LA and I don't mean the chargers

I think after half time against the Cowboys our Defense started to look ok -- hopefully they can carry that momentum into the c-hags game.

GO RAMS !!

Who the freak cares what a bunch of overpaid, pretentious, douching slapsticks think about our team. The only opinions which matter are those in the locker room, and here at ROD... of course. Anything coming from "the four-letter network" is pure BS!
