Shocking I tell you. Guess these guys haven't watched any games. Guess if they can't rip on Goff and the Rams, it's no longer fun for them. Also I like how Washington at home and at Dallas are considered part of the Rams' cupcake schedule. Thought Dallas had won 8 straight at home and were back after their MNF win. Now they stink. Also, haven't Arizona and Seattle both played Indy and SF as well?

I think it's fair to not buy them at this point in time for one reason: their defense. Even as good as our offense has been, we need the D to improve. I believe they will of course, starting this weekend, but then again I'm a silly homer.

Too soon....

I just read where Josh McDaniels started 8-0....

Lots of season left....enjoy the ride...every game will add something...

I still remember 1999....hell....I think I was doubting till we were 10-2 or something...

TBH all of us as Rams fans have the right to doubt if the Rams are for real. At this point they are only 3-1 not 10-3. Not to mention we were 3-1 last season we ended up 4-12. I expect our defense to get better however, if they do not we wont win many more games because much like last year our offense wont be able to always bail our D.

Yeah, it's annoying and all but even I want to see them play a healthy, top tier defense.

(not slamming you... it's just that I see this occasionally and it irks me)...

I do not like any comparisons to where we are this year (record-wise) and where we were last year.

We will NOT end up anywhere near 4-12... not going very far out on that limb, am I?

2016 offense... 2017 offense... apples... oranges.

The unknown, at this point, is that defense.

right but our defense last year was light years better than our defense this year. We gave up yards but not the points we're giving up this year. Just saying.

I also understand where you're coming from. I know it's a new year, new team but other teams will eventually figure out our offense and we will struggle to score points in some contest. We have to play better D plain and simple.

I wouldn't be too sure about this^ Last year, at 3-1, we weren't score anywhere near the points we are this year at 3-1, and at 35.5 points a game average, I don't see any Team in our near Future that can change that!

At this point and compare to last year's 3-1 record, the Rams offense are dangerous and will score points and carry the Defense.

Are the Rams legit? It does not matter. On any given Sunday, every team has to perform and prove their doubters wrong.

I just want the Rams to run up the scores on the Seahawks this Sunday and Jared Goff to shut that yapping Richard Sherman for the dirty initiation hit last year by throwing TDs after TDs to Watkins, Woods, Kupp, Everett, Gurley, Austin and Higbee.

Whether the Rams win by one of 30, it does not matter. As long as the Rams win, that's when these sports pundits are starting to talk in vague terms so they don't look like they're putting down the Rams.

i can almost promise you we wont score 35 on Seattle.

Take the SF game for example. We went into that game thinking their offense sucked. Well they ended up almost winning the game and scoring 38 points. Since then they went back to looking like the same old offense. Mediocre.
SF defense is average at best and we ended up scoring over 40. Ok moving on...

Lets talk Seattle, Offense hasn't looked great but they have been slow starters on offense pretty much every season since winning the SB
Seattle has one of the better D's in the league.
So taking those things into account, Seattle is fully capable of putting up 30 points on our Defense if we keep on giving up big plays like we have been. Not to mention their defense will be much harder to score points on than any opponents we've faced thus far.
It's games like this that will bring us back down to earth and have all the 'chicken little's' come out of their closets claiming the sky is falling. It's important we stay grounded until the Rams prove otherwise.

Can't argue about the disappointing (to this point) defense.

And I have said as much about opponents "figuring out" our offense...

But it just feels so much better.

The records are the same but, last year, it was like the Sword of Damocles was hanging over our heads.

I am much more confident the Rams can perform at a high level on a consistent basis (not all the time) going forward. I am beginning to believe this is sustainable.

But, we'll see... DAL was a good test... SEA may be an even better one.

But seriously I want nothing more than to have our Rams win and win big. I just don't think we're there just yet.

Totally agree our Team just feels different this year. However, I think it's partially because it's not boring to watch our games this year. Scoring is fun, Defensive games aren't haha.

Going into Dal and picking up a W is huge tho, I'll give them that. If we win this week I'll starting believing this young team. Just too soon for me

The good thing about McVay's offense is the fact that it's fluid, he's got football in his DNA and it shows in his play calling - I think it'll take a while for DCs to 'work out' his offence. By which time McVay will have moved on. I also believe that McVay can (and will, if necessary) mix things up game time if he thinks his gameplay isn't working. What I love is that the team is currently only learning the Offence - I'm excited man, enjoy the ride...

Our D, does (and is) need an improvement - but I think I'm seeing an up-curve, the second half last week was much better...

Exactly. If our D doesn't step up they WILL score 30+ on us. Their D may finally be aging in the wrong direction as they haven't looked the same, but they can still stop our O on occasion. I wouldn't be shocked if we blow them out, they blow us out, or it turns into a shootout.
