The dude looked pretty solid in the run game last night. But but I will say this for facts: Rams old faithful Morgan Fox gave him all he could handle and then some. Seemed like the worst matchup Bruss could end up with in a guy like Fox who has longer arms, strong upper body, tall, and finesse. Although Bruss got beat a few times in pass pro, and didn’t switch when they did a stunt, I like what he showed and that he played a ton. I can easily see what that Rams see in this guy. Thoughts on game one?

My thoughts are that the Rams should have kept Fox.

Bruss is a rookie, would be shocked if he made an impact like a pro bowl veteran in his prime in year 1. Give him a few years to muscle up and I could easily see him make that kind of contribution.

Watched the game but didn’t get a chance to slow down the tape and evaluate the Oline yet.

I agree with others - a rookie in a preseason game is not usually going to look pretty.

Not worried whatsoever.

A rookie in his first nfl game vs fox? Not being overwhelmed and beaten like a drum is a good starting point. Fox is a legit nfl player, not a scrub, who knows a few things.

When you think about it, not a bad way to get your feet wet. Bruss will go back to practice with a better understanding of what he’s gonna be up against and what he’ll need to work on.

As long as he's paired with Evans, we're golden! ~ @BonifayRam
That is funny-

Where The Rams offensive line practice is right when you first come into training camp. Back in the day when Noteboom & Allen we’re rookies. The year or couple years before that you could still get total access with the Kromers(A.Dickerson)
Coaching them.
Andy was there with the other OC with Fisher. Now you have a hard time to get close. They close it off & this guy in the green shirt was right at the corner talking everyone to move. You have no access to one side of the field. Unless your in certain VIP tents.

I didn’t know who Bruss was really without a helmet & my glasses were not 100% 20/20 ?

Anyways I saw Arcuri,Snyder & Bruss all comeback out to end my last day I made it out to training camp.

IMO & it is just ME. So Ram is a ME first guy.

Those 3 guys (players) are the future of this Rams Offensive Line. I’m just going off what I have seen with shoulder pads off.

Then again at 25 years old & I have said all a long about David Edwards & Bobby Evans is AJ Acrcuri,Jack Snyder are 25 years old with no NFL experience.

So to say what the future is & who gets cut & what a young offensive line is worth ?

I guess my point is going to be is This Rams Coaching Staff does an excellent job. Les Snead continues to bring in young talent.

The Rams have a good problem with these 3 rookies & Bruss is only 23.

Thought the kid had his moments both good & bad, however, the key in watching rookies is seeing if the game is too big for them and I did not get that from Bruss at all. I also thought (gulp) Jeremiah had a solid game too.

Overall for Bruss good game to start and he has two more games to get him ready for the season. Rams trust Shelton and Shelton has worked hard to put himself in a position to start.

Take your lumps in preseason, that's what it's for. I'd be more worried if these guys WERENT getting tested.

Agree - The 3 rookies impressed me though. They held up in one on one’s

It was that cool drill like the Senior Bowl where a player lines up at there position in front of whoever is next in line across the ball.

I’d yell at each player basically calling out who won. Arcuri was very impressive. Whitley beat him though to close it out. Might have been on the horn to switch as well?
Funny Whitley was LOLB & Arcuri was RT on that play. #51 lined up a little wider than normal & gave a inside move of the ball & faked him out really bad where he caught him leaning in & went right around him outside because AJ couldn’t step back. All weight going forward.

My take on that one after a preseason game in the books. AJ Arcuri might be an excellent RG & Whitley might need to be moved to the Lolb(Floyd)
Hardy & Chris Garrett might be better on Hollins ? Watching a little yesterday only hold so much value as a day at training camp.

The players are working hard to get better. The 3 young O’Lineman are an improvement. Max P. Is basically just taking up free rent space.

Yelled at David Edwards for getting burned in one on one’s. Looked up to see it was #99 who blew past him.
AD99 was fresh coming off a Veterans Day off. Looked fresh as can be & younger fast if you didn’t know any better.
-As a Rams Fan to think AD99 is still an ascending player who only thrives to get better. He went on to blow up a few plays on defense,a long with #46 B’Wags.
—Add Tutu Atwell made a catch in front of Bobby Wagner. They had a fun exchange wrestling around afterwards.Tutu wasn’t going to let the ball loose & (Wag’s ) they had some fun with it.
IMO team bounding like that is good. With Sean Mcvay coaches teams you see that all over the place.

It’s TEAM first & The Rams Players Buy into it. Mentoring is awesome.

The beauty of Mcvay & how far The Rams offensive line has come depth wise since 2019 season.

Funny going to quote myself, but you can go down the line if Les Sneads drafts such as Hav & Brown

Then go Noteboom & Allen
then cutting John Sullivan for Edwards & Evans. Talk about rookies & no NFL experience. Thanks Sean Mcvay & your project.

Now in 2022 Arcuri,Snyder & Bruss fit all The Best of Les Snead.

Just like AJ Jackson last season a UDRFA who was A GREAT FIND Jack Snyder sort of fits that box.

AJ Arcuri fits the late rd type like Anchrum ? But this guy has skills & size.

Then the Hav’s or just Les Snead going for Biggest need & best on the board in Bruss. Then again Edwards,Whit, & Hav all had a say about this young Badger.

Now Bruss must earn his merrit Badger.

Yeah - you can’t teach NFL experience & years of knowing The Rams offense really well without time.
That’s what it takes for an offensive lineman to be successful. Working hard becoming a man(body), experience of how physically & fast the game is.
The good thing is there is good depth & The Rams just keep on developing players. Kolone goes back to the Demby Days. First season without Demby so that project is over & the UDRFA has taken over the backup Center role.

How many people know about the Kolone story? Is there something still to it ? I mean these Reps, The New Practice Squad rule can not be talked about(less) MORE!!

I LOVE this new rule, especially because of how The Rams Franchise will benefit from it under Sean Mcvay & his (pyramid) system. You buy in early & it will pay off years down the road. - Call it a Scheme?

I wonder if Strange had been on the board, if that would have been the pick.
Inquiring MINDS, wants to know.Well strange enough The Rams are going to have a Tutu Atwell experiment .
It goes back to The Mcvay 2019 theory. I do believe Atwell had as much or more NFL experience (snaps) than Noteboom & Brian Allen did going into the season. At least Tutu Atwell had an excuse. He was injured & Ram Fans hold that against him saying he is to small.

Strange Truth is even when you know you might not like the results? We all know Creed Humphries was a Rookie All Pro. That doesn’t take away Tutu Atwell is a Ram who is working hard to get better & is under contract for another 3 seasons at least.

I’d say about a persons kid & they see some All- Star kid ruling the league & you say strange enough. I wish I had that kid. Gosh I didn’t even have a say.
Then again parenting & coaching the best way to teach is to give the youngsters the tools to be successful & you never know what will become of it. - For me I’m just a no good loser without a say or kids.Lucky I have love & support though. It could be worse without it.

I'm not being snarky when I say that this isn't even a question.

Look at McVay & Snead's reaction when he went in the first round... lots of people had predicted the Rams interest in Strange and the natural fit. In my mind, they would've been sprinting to the podium... and may have even traded up if he was in range.

I got upset with people that said McVay was making fun of Belicheat for making that selection in the first round.

They were just laughing at themselves for even thinking that maybe Strange would drop to them.
