Never said he has the same arm strength as he did years ago. I just pointed out he threw a bomb this past Sunday that couldn't have been placed any more perfectly and threw a sideline route to Evans for 29 yards right on the money between 2 defenders.

He threw two perfect long balls against the Rams.

Right into the hands of Jordan Fuller.

Back on track. Always thought Ariens looked like a dickhead in that stupid little red hat he wore in AZ.

Now he looks like a tampon.

Didnt you bring up his throws to Randy Moss?
Someone mentioned he never had a strong arm and throwing deep passes was never his thing therefore I mentioned long throws to Randy Moss but never mentioned arm strength being the same

Now I'm glad he's having some issues with Tom Brady and can only hope for their demise, however, with three games remaining against the Falcons twice & the Detroit Lions, the football Gods once again has smiled down on both of them.

Yeah, unfortunately “Tampa will be all the rage, “winning streak”, heading to the playoffs.“

The talking heads will be impressed.

Arm strength is majorly over-rated in the NFL. There isn't really a QB in the NFL....backups included....that can't make just about any pass asked of them. Field vision is soooooo much more important.

Accuracy can be a killer, and that has been Brady's question mark this year. Every once in a while a duck comes flapping out, as we saw in the Rams game, and if they're bad enough they can ruin a game. Lots of talent on that team, but Gronk and Brady are not the players they were a couple years ago

That said Arians is a tomato faced blowhard. It took him as long as it did to land a HC gig because he is a dick and you can pretty much guarantee he interviewed terribly.

I would agree. That offense does not fit Brady at all. He likes to get his receivers killed on short crossing routes. Wes Welker will forget his fuckin name by the time he is 45 and Gronk will be in a wheel chair....but its cool. Brady got his rings. Lol

To your original point though, agood coach, coaches to his talent not make everyone adjust to his scheme. This is a great example of an arrogant coach thinking his scheme is perfect and making players adjust to it. Not to mention he throws Brady under the bus after every loss....whether you like Brady or not a coach should not call out a player after every loss. To be honest, physically Brady can still play. Why bring in the greatest QB of all time and make him adjust to you offensive scheme? You have a 2 year window to win and you make a 43 year QB learn a new system. I agree with your original post, Bruce Arians is a buffoon.

The Bucs certainly seem to be underachieving with the talent they have. And we were able to beat them. But in spite of Arians, their talent would scare me in the playoffs. Some players can raise the level of their play during that time. We saw Suh do it with us. Brady and Gronk are certainly capable.

Personally I don't like Arians but I don't know why. He was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to be Peyton's QB coach at Indy from 1998-2000. He was Cleveland's OC and couldn't get the same out of Tim Couch (but who could?). His big break was getting hired by Cowher and staying with a extremely successful franchise for almost a decade. Then he went to Indy and in his first year, took over for Pagano in Luck's rookie year, going 9-3 while he was out fighting cancer. But if you look at the Arizona Cardinals, he had three double digit win seasons for a franchise that hadn't had 2 in a row since Coryell (74-76) and haven't had 1 since, so there's that. So the guy has got to know something. His team is certainly underachieving with the supposed GOAT but that may be because of Brady, as DieterBrock stated. But there's still 3 weeks left in the season and TBay has a cake schedule so we'll see what they do in the postseason, where Brady shines. Hopefully they're one and done.
