I know throwing a pick in the redzone is bad, but how many of Goffs picks have but our D in aposition to get a safety or like today a blocked punt for TD. The 1 earlier this season was around the 5 IIRC. The 4th down int in seattle last season was inside the 10.

I don't know the answer but the pick today I'm not sure wasn't at least half Everett's fault anyway. He was doing his best Brian Quick route running impersonation.... half ass.

If the throw is an A+ the catch is an A- at worst

Goff is a shape shifter. He can be a USPS pilot (air it 65 yards down field)
A mail carrier by zigging (delivering to the left side line) and zagging(delivering to the right side line)

A master dart thrower (hit bullseyes within the seam),

A band leader (screens and sweeps out of back field)

A PGA golfer ( hitting flop shots over hazards)

A vandal( break windows using velocity in tight spaces)

Be Houdini(master of deception via multiple play action varieties)

A licensed physician(write emergency scripts via audibles, diagnose and exploit the weak)

A chaperone(scan entire arsenal when time is allotted)

and just to maintain balance, be a hacker(golf) by losing the ball in the Woods(versus Cards)

Watched game today with my friend who has no dog in the fight and was his first time really watching Goff and he volunteered to help me shut up the haters I know. After Woods first catch I jokingly predicted he would have 320 receiving yards and after each catch reminded him how he only needed X amount of yards to reach 320 :boxing:

Bottom line so much fun watching this offense develop after successful drive after another. These guys are the masters of the industry the city is nationally recognized for. Leave outdated film industry for the *insert noun of choice used to attack masculinity of a man*

Hollywood is Rams country naaah!

Poor Chargers, didn't sound like stadium raised any decibels after any of their accomplishments.:death:

.

Does anybody know who it was that actually called Goff a system qb? The media are like sheep and just follow the leader. I never saw a person quoted as saying that.

.

The scramble throw to Kupp was even better, IMO.
Anyone who thinks that Goff isn't improving simply isn't paying attention, he made a bunch of elite throws today.

No doubt. And dare I say Kupp playing on same page with his QB by going scramble drill was a beautiful thing to behold too. That group of athletes Fish had assembled prior would have never been able to go off sched like that.

Was my favorite play today.

That might be the best throw I've ever seen as an NFL fan.

That really made me pause for a second. My seats were at the perfect angle to see that throw, it was hard to describe. I've never played quarterback so I don't know what it's like to see a play develop from that perspective. It was like he saw the future -- "this DB will wind up a little underneath, this one will wind up a little too high... so lemme just sneak this ball into that tight little window that doesn't yet exist."

The NFL is fun.

It was Goff's mistake but I'm not worried. Every QB that ever played has thrown an INT like that. It sucked that it was in the end zone but it happens.

He'll learn from it, and the "I can get the ball in there" urge can be controlled.

If the throw is an A+ the catch is an A- at worst

For sure, great concentration and awareness of the sideline.

It was a really "WOW" play.

Every week his composure is getting better in the pocket. Im impressed...

He's feel for pressure this year as compared to last year is better too. He's getting pretty shifty in the pocket LOL.

His footwork is top notch.

I love Robert Woods reaction after the sideline catch. Just looks down at Derwin James like "what?...lolz"....

Derwin James is going to remind a lot of people of Sean Taylor with better ball skills. Kid is going to be a pro bowler sooner than later. Goff's 2 INTs this have come in the exact same location, and against two of the best in the bidnez (yes I am putting James there already). While annoying, I think he can move past those....

This is so true what you are saying.
Almost any offense can do well if everything goes to plan. The great ones can adapt on the fly.

Agreed psycho. He looked to have gotten his head around late, whereas the DB played the ball like a pro. They're trying to get Everett involved, but the dude still needs work. On the plus side, Higs looked really good on that CONTESTED catch he made on the sideline. That is the type of thing I imagined Higs doing when they drafted him and I thought he was a steal (which I have not been thinking since last year lol). So nice to see and hope it continues as he builds confidence.

James is already elite. I watched the previous Chargers games by chance and two things stood out to me: Rivers droppin dimes & Derwin James. Dude will be ROY in the AFC and probably make the pro bowl in year one. He's an impact difference maker and the players gonna vote him hard.
