Pretty crazy stat I saw elsewhere. Come Sunday, Gronk and JJ Watt will have played the exact same number of games in the same number of years. Gronk is still the GOAT but what could've been for both.

was he on the field when we played AZ? I don't recall hearing his name or seeing him...
He hasn’t been a big stat guy but he’s supposedly had a big impact, maybe he’s a set the edge take up blockers guy at this stage of his career.

Been saying for weeks...the over/under on a Watt major injury was somewhere around wk 6, 7 or 8.

Nailed it.

Just don't feel bad. Maybe for Watt but not them. If you spend big FA money on old injury prone guys and count on them to start and play well all season you're playing with fire.
You just reminded me of Jake Long. Damn You!

Him and Chandler Jones made a great 1-2 punch. Rams could use another pass rusher.

Too bad for him but it helps the Rams the. Cardinals looking strong this year. They get a Packers team that will be missing D Adams and others tonight.

Never want to see a player injured.
Yeah me either. My post may have been a bit knee jerk harsh, but knowing the sports culture here like i do, i feel like this was mostly a fan service FA signing from the beginning. Watt really was playing well though. Tbh the sports media here were surprised at how much impact he was having. IIRC his pressure rate thus far was pretty good.

Yeah, was affecting QBs just without collecting the numbers.

Damn. Not a whole lot left around there.
Wow, I kinda wondered if he might come back for the playoffs but that sounds like a lot going on, sounds like lengthy rehab. Do they bring him back? Does he want to?

He's washed up. ARZ paying him all that money is looking stupid. Beginning of the end.

Cardinals are third in the league in points allowed. Seems like Watt was having some significant impact until the injury.

Losing Watt may be the beginning of the end for the Cardinals. Especially if Hopkins continues to have hamstring problems. All of a sudden it's a different team.

Hate it for Watt ... but can't say I'm the least bit surprised. This is the story of the latter half of his career.

A great EDGE player can make a world of difference. That is true.
