I sure hope we will be able to do just that, however from what I have seen the last two Sundays I have serious doubt.

I would suspect that our OL will have the same kind of nasty issues that it had last night maybe worse. The Eagles front is just as good as the Bears if not better & there is a chance that DT Tim Jerigan will have a good chance to play. Eagles came very close to taking down Division leader Dallas. I am leaning to expect another loss by this trending downward Rams team this Sunday. The Eagles who are still in the running for the 6th playoff seed. If there is a stomping in LA this Sunday it won't be the Rams doing it.:sadwalk:

maybe you should look at who is playing in their back 7, cowboys put up close to 600 yards

After thinking about it i'm glad we have gotten these bad games out the way now. And that McVay can hopefully learn that he has #30 when teams try to dare him to throw. The Bears when not blitzing played cover 2 with everybody dropping and dared us to run and we didn't.

McVay please watch this tape over and learn from your mistakes which i believe he will. Hey we are 11-2 can finish 14-2 and still have pretty much a game in LA and possibly head to New Orleans for the Super Bowl

I'm ok with that why because McVay has proven that if he is beaten once by a team he knows how to defeat them the second time. yeah it sucks to lose the way we did when we didn't have to but i'd rather get that loss out the way now than in the playoffs.

ON to the EAGLES

If Mcvay refuses to use Gurley then the rams will be 1 and done.
Refusing to use him is by far mcvay biggest weakness and it cost the rams in big games.

We must see by now Barron is not up to playoff football. Last 3 games must be used to find out who can wrap up and tackle. It's now embarrassing to watch. Other players like who our backup RB is going to be must get locked in. Lot's to still find out before we are win or out. OL must regain it's confidence and execution must improve across the board. Suh & Brockers must do MORE each play.

Pretty succinct, my friend. These are the main points of emphasis for me.

Good or bad play calling aside, both our O-Line and defensive front seven got manhandled for the better part of the game. Coaches can come up with a great play call, but if the players don't execute their assignments, it's going to fail more times than not. I'll agree some of the play calling had me wondering WTH, but IMO the game came down to getting punched in the mouth and we never really responded. We were on our heals most of the night. It just wasn't going to be, so we need to win out and gain so much needed momentum heading into the playoffs.

The secondary has looked a bit better with Talib back. But I agree with you about our front 7. They’re hard to watch and teams with an average OLine and run game that stay committed to it, are able to have their way with our defense.

OLine does seem to get bested at times by defensive fronts that are physical with us. Sully is having a rough year...and I wonder if the long season is catching up to Whit.

I did look & I have been looking for some weeks now. I watched the entire game Sunday & know very well who has been playing behind the line. Yes I know that 16 different DB's have started in their secondary this season.

How many yards did Dak have against the Eagles? They made him look like Mahomes.

For me it's not about the losses. You're gonna lose some games. It's the trends I'm concerned about...

Our OLine has been trending downward for a few weeks. LBers trends include poor gap responsibility and tackling. To be fair, the secondary has picked it up a bit. Those are the big ones.

If the OLine can play like they did the first half of the season, and the LBers can play...well...better than they have so far...I like our odds in January. If we get the front 7 that gets ran over, and the OLine of the last few weeks... *welp*

It's up to the coaching staff to figure that out. I believe in them.

The Saints got shut down by the Cowboys in what was a freak of a game. The Chiefs very nearly got beat by Lamar Jackson (novelty QB, no long term future in the league) and, more pertinently, the Ravens D this past weekend.

These things happen and need to be put in perspective. As it stands, the Rams have a very good chance of going 14-2! 14 wins and 2 losses, people. It wasn't that long ago that we were watching 4-12 and Cignetti and Boras making Brian Schotty look like an offensive genius. We've replaced the likes of Brian Quick and Kenny Britt with Cooks and Woods. We're talking about badly missing the 3rd choice WR whereas not long ago most non-Rams fans probably wouldn't have been able to name the Rams 3rd choice WR.

Good teams recover, Goff has proven he's got a short memory and McVay is still one of (if not the) best offensive minds in the league. Things will click back into place because this team and this coaching staff is too good for it not to.

It seems questionable play calling at times has always been his biggest down fall as a OC and now HC. At least that's what I heard from Redskin fans when he was hired and what we are seeing now. The main thing I am worried about is that our half time adjustments are not as potent as last season. Besides the Saints game where we came back from being down, i believe it was 21 points, our half time adjustments just are not the same. Last season if we were in a funk, after half time it was like a whole different team came out and played. Now we are making the adjustments but still have some funk left over.

“They were playing a lot of base defense to 11 [personnel] and then got into some structures where they were basically playing six guys at the line of scrimmage,” McVay said in his press conference. “We felt like the best way to be able to move the football was going to be throwing it. clearly, we’ll go back, look at the tape, I’ll look at myself critically and make sure that I learn from a lot of the bad decisions that I did make for us. Whatever I was deciding on tonight clearly wasn’t putting our players in good spots.”

This is from his press conference.

So he realizes the Bears baited him early on into passing and abandoning the run. Lets see if he actually learns from it like he says he will. I am confident he is critical enough of himself that he will realize he was goaded into it..........and maybe take my suggestion and hire someone to stand next to him and shout "GURLEY" when he starts to do this next time.

Seems like McVay is too smart sometimes, the longer the bear game went the more it seemed he was going to try to catch them by surprise. They were playing way off Cooks and they didn’t seem to want to take what they were being given. Seemed like they were going to run the ram offense no matter what.

And for those freaking out about the loss and the bad game or however they want to describe it just have one fact for you all to consider. The last four Super Bowl winners all had a loss where they failed to score a touchdown.
I’m encouraged that when someone beats you during the season the %’s it’s very rare they beat you again in the post season.

I also add more % points that beating this coaching staff particular McVay and Wade is even higher less likely to happen.

I don't see the Rams as "Being handled" by the Saints....no way. Ya, the Saints proved in the 4th quarter that we couldn't stop them....but if we replay that game, it is a 50/50 game. rams D is a lot better with Talib, and Rams will get to Brees more than they did. Howwever, Saints D is better, too-- a bit....and Rams O is dropping bec O line is avg now.

That’s what I was seeing.

The TE’s should have been open on shallow drags to give him an outlet.

And, hand the ball to 30.

McVay’s ass is burning...he’s pissed.... I’m looking for a different game next time
