...........so anyway, I've been saying in the offseason, that if Blake and/or Hunter got going, both having more burst and/or speed, that we'd finally have a great 1-2 pairing with Kyren.
We need BOTH to make this work.
Use the burst & speed to get the O out in front of the D. Then grind them into the dirt with KW.
We saw this come to fruition in this game (in the 2nd quarter). Blake is our "starting pitcher", KW our "closer".

Thanks - I guess I’ll get there sooner than later.I don’t seem to post as much in season.The play speaks for itself.
Mcvay’s play calling on the 3 straight pass plays were a little upsetting.I have KW as my Fantasy RB,but seeing Blake Corum punch it in later in the game was pretty Kool. The Rams & Mcvay were challenged & I bet he actually liked being down in that game on the road after everything was said & done.
At half time he said we’ll see what we’re made of things The NFL & it ain’t easy to win.Were down 3& we have our work cut out for us.Davonte Adams got his score & made a couple remarkable catches. Got held in the Endzone on a TD pass he almost made.

Yeah - The Rams were willing to let Kyren Williams walk by Drafting Jarquez who is going to be another excellent RB.

Agree. It’s easy to say, “run the ball more” but unless the Rams can get more yards on those early downs…

If Stafford is gonna have to throw, might as well take a couple of cracks at it instead of waiting until 3rd and long, after a couple of failed runs.

This doesn’t seem like a McVay type statement. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him give out any specifics on playing time except things like “going to work him in”, “going to be careful with him”, things like that.

Edit: And the subsequent post shows what I know. I’m right there with @Allen2McVay

FWIW, I did see a clip showing the failed pass to Davante in the right corner of the EZ: it looked like the play was actually intended to be a run play; all the blocking showed run, but the snap was bobbled & 9 just tried to make a play out of it by chucking it to 17. It coulda just been a disguised corner fade route all along, but there's a good chance that a run was called for there.
For that matter... I saw waaay too many bobbled snaps in this game for my comfort. That's gotta get cleaned up.
 
I wouldnt mind Corum taking an entire 2nd quarter over for Kyren/ maybe even start 3rd, Especially when he needs a breather. Unleash Corum on 49ers on the short week! We gonna need him.

I think this is the perfect week to introduce Jarquez Hunter to the NFL. Show everybody that 3-headed monster. JMHO.
