If he can mentally handle being the RB2, which I don't know why he wouldn't, then he'd be a big upgrade over Rivers.

Strengths

Boasts rare compact mass and carries 240 pounds as if 20 pounds lighter.

Has superb explosiveness out of cuts and can plant and go on second-read runs.

Relatively fluid for his size and has shown to swerve and weave through crowds.



Weaknesses

Visibly lacks elite long speed, which can impact his ability to reach the boundary.

Slight hip stiffness derived from frame can cause delays on sharp lateral transitions.

Despite fluidity, doesn’t quite have the flexibility to make successive sharp transitions.

That is who came to mind for me as well! He looked good in pre-season. All of our RBs did. He at least has time in the system/offense.

We need another RB now. You need 3, otherwise, you are 1 injury away from a one man show. Curious if we sign someone.

So gutted for Corum. Right when he got his chance, he gets hurt, and he has run so well this year.

He did not get many reps anyway, and if this is our only injury, an injured RB2 that did not see much playing time, then going into the playoffs we are in great shape by NFL standards, it is about as good as you can hope for. But this is still a real loss to our running game. We had a great 1-2 punch. I like Rivers but he does not bring the same juice.

Even Whittington is a former RB and is scary when running returns back. The kicking team tacklers are making business decisions when he runs in a straight line, right at them.

It would be nice to have more of a speed option. Nicholas Singleton may be in the draft this year. If he sees daylight he's gone. But he can't make those cuts to find the holes like Kyren.

It would be great to have a Gurley, Faulk, Jackson level RB again. Teams don't fear Kyren gashing them for big yards.
