Most of the "content creators" I've seen with videos about this season talk about some of up to book 5 in this season. And I agree it looks like it's more true to the books than the first 2 seasons.

I've come to accept that it won't be a real conversion of the books that would just simply be too many seasons to realistically make a show. I appreciate it now for bringing the books in their way to TV.

Yeah but they didn't have to "Bourne" these books. They could have stayed close to the story and just cut out a lot of the scenes and change the story a little bit to accomplish that.

For example - they didn't have to make the forsaken immortal where they can't die from sword wounds.

I agree I'm just living with those issues since they brought it to TV for me tbh

Well season 3 does look closer to the books at least from the Edmunds field thingy and the White Tower thingy and Galad and Gawyn thingy and the Cooramor and so on and so on.

As a die hard trekkie that's not surprising. Yet Paramount keeps saying they can't green light more Star Trek projects because they cost too much money to make. Soooo, what's the issue here? They have tried to experiment with different things with Star Trek and some has been great and some has not. Strange New Worlds and Lower Decks has been good. Discovery was ok'ish but I could take or leave it (Section 31... yawn). I liked Picard but it struggled with inconsistent vision the first two seasons as they moved between writers and producers. Season 3 was a blueprint to how Paramount can make a shit ton of money though. Trekkies like me who cut their teeth on the franchise in the 80s-90s are foaming at the mouth for more from those worlds. TNG had a great send off with season 3 of Picard but DS9 lore particularly could feed a franchise for seasons. Create the "Star Trek: Legacy" that fans have been yelling for since Picard ended with Terry Matalas in charge following Seven in command of the Enterprise G with Picard and LaForges kids while working out of DS9 to explore the Gamma Quadrant. I mean come on, slam dunk success.

Anyway, my rant. I would give real money for multiple seasons of something that brought DS9 (and other ST) lore, old characters, and locals back to a modernized tv show.

I've liked Linda Cardellini for years , so it doesn't really matter if the show is actually and good or not , I'll still be watching . :love:

I couldn't watch Discovery , and the only reason I watched Section 31 was to see just how bad it , and it was bad

I love Strange New Worlds , and can't wait for season 3

also loved Lower Decks , and the Lower Decks cross over with Strange New Worlds is now my favorite Star Trek episode of all time , replacing the Space hippies from the original series

Star Trek : Prodigy is also a fun watch

they just finished filming season 1 of Starfleet Academy , it's already been renewed for a season 2 , Starfleet Academy will take place in the 32nd century , about a 1,000 years after the original series

Mariner and Boimler have become two of my favorite characters

I actually was sad when I watched the 5th episode because it was almost over.
I didn’t see it coming when the mom went total badass
