What does that even mean?Not discrediting McVay whatsoever; however no one can say that Goff is playing good now because of him. Goff most likely had a chip on his shoulder and as someone said he may have matured to the point where he is taking it to the next level on his own with the support of his current team. Atleast Detroit knew they had to build around Goff, not the other way around. Maybe McVay expects his QBs to build around him? Also I thought Greg Olson was a huge asset to developing Goff during McVays first year as HC as I recall? I may be wrong though. It could of have been all McVay.
Yeah we also had a stellar coaching staff at that time which catered to his success as well…
Seriously.. Goff is an excellent triggerman if you have a loaded offense and great scheme.
If *he's* relied on to drive the offense, it doesn't work.
He's he same guy he was with the Rams.
