Biggest reason the rams lost was that the 49ers scored more points than the rams did
 
The defense just did not look ready for this game. Some of that is on the players. But the coaches are responsible for getting them prepared and ready. Easily the worst defensive game in a while. Facing a subpar line and hardly any pressure on the quarterback. A backup who looked like an all pro against them. With 3rd and 4th string receivers. The only answer I can think of is they were over confident. Something you cannot be in the NFL. Against anybody.
 
I thought that this game was a turd on all fronts. Bad special teams, bad offense play calls and execution, and really bad defensive strategy.
