KENDALL BLANTON REPPING MIZZOU!!!

M-I-Z!!!
I want to give your credit @Memento you're the one who posted about Kendall Blanton and his upside when the Rams signed him as an UDRFA. Even though he had some growing pains, you still communicated consistently that "Blanton was a player." You my Ram Sister, could not have been more on point about this TE and Blanton stepped up huge as both a receiver and a blocker!

He is certainly big enough, too, at 6' 6" and 265 lbs.

Overpower 3/4 OLB's or stand up against 4/3 DE's.

If Higbee comes back, maybe more 2 TE sets against Cincy's run D (who gave up nearly 6 yds a pop yesterday vs KC).

As someone else posted... I'm a little concerned about his ball security.
But that can be worked on.

The guy, very obviously, knew his assignments and executed. He's TE2 right now, going into next season, no doubt.

Pick your sport, and you always need those that aren’t the superstars to step up and have their moments in the postseason. Today it was Blanton. Super impressed.

With that said, we’re talking super bowl here- hope Higbee is a go two weeks! You want your TE1 ready to roll!

And again I love that guys like Blanton and Skow are getting read and getting the ball. Reflects well on Stafford and also McVay in not burying them in the reads to reduce risk. The offense is much better when teams know they have to at least respect the lesser weapons.

5 targets and 5 receptions, Blanton did everything asked of him, including some blocks. I'm pretty sure Mundt is looking over his options right about now.

Blanton's block (he stoned him) on Bosa prior to releasing and catching a pass showed this kid can play at the highest level.

Dude stepped up in a huge game and don't think the coaching staff hasn't noticed.

I though he caught the ball well and was fluid when running g with the ball. I saw no issues with security and he was in some heavy traffic a time or two.

Really hope Higbee is back but I thin Blanton proved he’s capable.

More hereditary immeasurables?
Pops was a LB for the Chiefs in early 80's....

Just re-watched the game. Blanton was a huge contributor in this win. I hope Higbee can go but Blanton was just as reiable, at least in this very important game.

I was really impressed with what he did Sunday. Despite taking few reps during the week, he showed up time. If Higbee can't go, Blanton will get those reps over the next two weeks. If Higbee gets healthy, maybe McVay can even run some two TE sets and pound the rock if we get a lead.

Dude was awesome. I cringed every time He caught it and started running assuming he would fumble it being so green in real time action. He not only caught everything and didn't fumble but he got nice YAC and did some nice blocking. Really stepped up in a massive game.

He's such a nice dude as well. They had an interview with him after last week and he was so excited about everyone texting him after his TD vs the Bucs. We may need him in the Super Bowl depending on Higbees status.
So let me tell you why you thought that as I did too. You thought that because in the past when the Rams were pre-McVay, they had the tendency to not have those players who were ready for the bright lights.
