And corner?

David Long will be the question here as I expect Robert Rochelle to be special, but it's a major step from Central Arkansas to the NFL. I also like Brontae Harris, but if Long & Donte Deayon can step up, the secondary barring injury will be able to hold serve IMHO.

Edge Weaker for now: I believe Lewis has POtential to be an upgrade but Fox/Ebu should not be overlooked.
DL: Brock was so consistent and ARob is unproven over a whole season. Gaines/SJD rolls may increase but 1 for 1 Brock > ARob

DL/Edge It still remains to be seen. No way I can call this an upgrade from looking at Potential Vs Production.
I am hopeful and optimistic but the replacements are unproven

OFFENSE

HC/Offensive coordinator = Better - McVay has been schooled and has learned a lot since is early title of boy genius his first 2 seasons. His red-zone efficiency has been so so. He has his QB now and this is his 5th season on the job. It's time to see some new wrinkles and adjustments and show us he can take that next step to be an elite top 3 HC in the league.

QB = Big upgrade - Stafford is in the prime of his career and on paper he and McVay seem like a perfect match. Wolf is a solid backup.

RB = Better - Akers & Henderson are no longer green behind the ears. They should both respect the NFL more now by how much bigger and harder the defensive players can pound the body. Take care of your bodies and hit the gym harder boys. Xavier Jones and Funk should be a fun battle for the #3 RB. Calais is on the ropes unless he pops this preseason.

WR = Big upgrade - if Kupp's knee issues don't flare up this season. We need DeSean and Tutu to be a durable duo and the long ball issues will be a forgotten issue.

TE = (as of today it feels weaker) - Higbee is a stud. Everett never took his game to another level and Mundt's merely been an average tight end but not bad. Hopkins completed his redshirt year so it's time to shine, hit the practice squad or cut bait for him.

Harris is a super athlete that looks like the boom or bust type. Blanton has no pro-tape to make anyone excited. As of today if feels like the TE blocking talent as a whole is less than desirable. ouch :(

OL = Same/TBD & possibly tilting to a little better. Whit is the ageless anchor. Havs is nothing great but good enough to be a starting RT in the league. Center experiments are under way so stay tuned as it could have a domino effect on the guard position. (Could be negative or positive or break even.) I was one of the few that applauded the parting ways of Kromer for the fresh infusion of Carberry at the helm.

There are a few O-Lineman that have been grooming the past 2 years so we don't know how far along they've come to simply rate the depth or improvement as merely same. This group seems to be unpredictable at the moment but they overachieved as a unit last season. Blythe is gone so there are no more excuses for his play. The Rams passed on drafting the highest rated center so they feel like they know the pulse of their O-Line.

Special Teams = Better - Some young special teams studs were added in the 2021 draft still needs to translate to the pro level. The departure of Bonamego is addition by subtraction.

Well going into 2020 our top 7 lineman in games started were:

Whit 211
Havenstein 68
Blythe 33
Edwards 10
Allen 9
Corbett 8
Evans 7

Total = 346

Going into 2021 our top 7 lineman in games started are:

Whit 220
Havenstein 84
Edwards 24
Corbett 24
Noteboom 15
Allen 9
Evans 7

Total = 383

Experience doesn't equate to success but we are more experienced. I feel good about that. If the line is the same, I hope the RBs (and QB) are better. If the line is better, the RBs and QB should be even better.

I think you will find out that Hill,Brown & Everett are undervalued.
Funny you don’t mention the OFFENSIVE LINE. I guess you were a big Austin Blythe Fan ? As much as I liked him,I believe the O’Line will be way better. Just by default, unless Gerald Everett was that good of a blocker as well as Malcom Brown.
Hill in the Dawg pound with JJ is going to be special. There is no way the DB’s are better without them.
Tyler Rapp has to play above & beyond. Then the depth he gave as well needs to be replaced.Anyway I’ll stop there for now.
One- If you read what I said, it mentions it depends on what we do with the OL...
Two- Didn't say our DB's are better. Simply said I think Hill, while making some good plays isn't irreplaceable.

Time will tell on all fronts.

1. It depends on what The OL does ? The Rams do ? Which way is it ? I don’t get it. Actually looking back you say The Rams offense comes together.
I.The Rams Offense only lost one player.
II.This Offensive Line is basically going on it’s third season together.
III.Demby is still on The Rams roster.
IV.Brian Allen was the starting Center in 2019.
—Really not great examples, but maybe having a new OL coach makes things tougher?IMO it’s not a question The Rams OL will be better, just from the competition alone. In example IV. Brian Allen was given the Center position.Add Edwards & Evans were late Rd. 22 year old Rookies.

Troy Hill made some HIGHLIGHT PLAYS. He lead The NFL in defensive TD’s. I’d say that is more than just hightlight reels. He also filled with Jalen RAMsey helping to change the looks.

—Robert Rochelle might be a Excellent draft Pick.Mcvay said they couldn’t pass on his talent level that late in the Draft.

IMO Robert Rochelle was playing afraid in College.Since he has been a Ram(3 plus weeks) he has said & done the right things. He will probably get all The Preseason Reps.He is going to be forced into TACKLING & being moved around.HE Will Get Exposed. —I don’t know ? What I do know is if I was his coach I would teach him ONCE he READS RUN he needs to commit & get in FRONT of The WR.Come up (make a play) find the Runner.(Watched the O’ side against Tre Mason). The game I watched my take is The NINERS F”””’d up.The Rams drafted a talented kid with as much skill. He is still raw,but dude has Hops & Good size(ht” 6’2).

Rochelle is listed as a DB,

J.R.Reed listed as a DB - from Georgia.I don’t know your TAKE on him.He was on The Rams game day roster against Green Bay which was a PLAYOFF game.He played Special Teams. —will see where he will fit in.

I went to The last Rams training Camp.Eric Weedle was on The Rams roster. He wore a dark long sleeve undershirt & a Tint Face mask.I went there to vision what The Rams DB’s looked like going in. Anyway - I’ll save the story which might be STUPID m,but we all evaluate things differently. I appreciate your views.

What about Deont’e Deyone ? Did you watch hard Knock ? IMO he talks so much Crap that it makes me LOL.The Fact Jalen RAMsey puts up with it MMLMAO. Funny stuff, but dude is a competitor. He is wiry & small witch brings in question his durability.

Like you said will see ? Just like Aaron Kromer & Andy Dickerson leaving.Waldron went as well making The Offense different with The OL.

Aubrey Pleasant went to Detroit with Brockers & Goff. —Staley HC in Chargers . Dawg Pound will be tough & I’ll put Rob Coun down that Troy Hill or John Johnson take a couple to the POUND!!

It means what/who they move around and who starts, etc. Things will happen during camp. We don't know yet who's going to start and where. Sure, we have a pretty good idea, but nothing is set in stone.
The reality is you would think 1 more year of working together helps everyone. Again, we shall see.
We have more weapons/speed than last year. That's not even a question. We have a better QB that is more agile in the pocket.
So yeah, I think we will be better. If you don't that's fine. I have my opinion, you have yours.

My opinion is The Rams will be a lot better in 2021.
1.Who was The Rams starting LG in 2019?
2.Who ended the season at LG in 2019?
3. Who was the starting LG again in 2020.
4. Why did Austin Corbett start over David Edwards who ended 2019 as The Rams starting RG?

I could go on a little more, but truth is I think The Rams will be better in 2021 with there OL. - your answer was not that you believed they will to start. It was will see? Yes we will see with every position. We could got down the list ?

You said Troy Hill basically is JAP ? My point is he will be Hard to Replace. I like David Long, but he still still only 23.Last season most around lost confidence in him.I’m saying he needs time, but his back up is less experienced than David Long.Even with Him being as good would makes it not as good in 2021?
—We all have our opinion once again.I’m just stating what you’ve noted.

I am watching replay of the Jets loss this year. In the opening drive of second half the Jets drove down and scored aTD on 4th and 1. In this series I saw Reeder get juked/whiff by old man Gore in a hole up the middle, badly miss coverage on a short pass in the middle and get blown back off the line on the TD. I know he made some plays this year but the Rams have to know they need and deserve better from a starting ILB. Just like Blythe, Reeder can be depth but it’s time to upgrade up from his C— play.
