I might be able to answer that. I know betting and sportsbooks like a Catholic Priest knows self control. The first couple bets I did with a spread, I won but thought I was betting the opposite way. The only way I knew how to bet on my Rams was by looking at how many bets had already been placed and where. So now I get the whole +/- thing. Yeah - Vegas trembles when I step into town.:juiced:
I bet on the Niners because I am a realist. Aldon Smith is back and justs destroys any passing game. So we will have to run, Problem is the Niners Run Defense is the best when healthy.
I think we are all getting a little too punch drunk here picking the Rams vs the Niners at the stick. And I don't appreciate having my Ramfan status challenged. I will root like crazy till i break something during this Niners game and probably be upset for a week if we lose and piss off my family. I bleed blue and Gold, but I am a realist. Hope I am wrong but doubt it.
I grew up in the SF bay area and for 30 years dealt with Niner fans. I Hate them. But I follow them closely and know what they are fielding right now.

I just put £10k on. +9.5 is good value especially when the money you're betting isn't real

I'm sorry, I'd rather lose it all than profit from my own misery. Each to their own.
I don't know that anyone is challenging your Ramfan status so lighten up Francis :heh:. I think it's more that many of us (or maybe just me) can't get their mind around betting against the Rams. It just doesn't seem right.

Really, I would totally accept silence as fair and reasonable. I would even ignore a straight up bet against the Rams to some degree. But giving up 9.5? With the 29th worst offense? That's just silly. No sensible person is betting Niners -9.5.
When have the niners done that all season against a team like this? They haven't.

Sorry man. I can't bet against my Rams PERIOD. I realize my rationalizations don't apply to all. That's cool. I just can't do it personally. By the same token, I have a hard time betting ON my Rams because I am stupid ass superstitious at times. I'm bucking that trend and am just hoping I don't fuck things up. We really HAVE to win this week!

admittingly 35-11 was against a much much different team and coaching staff. I take us this game with a 9.5point spread and I think we win the game as well especially if we take the lead early because Crapernick can't pass his way back this season, we win.
Yeah sorry. For me? Not good enough. We played an absolutely abysmal game that day - much like the whiners played the two previous weeks. The idea that we can't beat them because of how they played us while we were reeling doesn't mean jack to me. We played like shit. I'm not saying you are not a Ram fan because you think SF is better than us or for any other reason. It's just that personally, I am not there and likely never will be - ESPECIALLY when we are talking about a rival like the fucking whiners. I just have honestly NEVER gone into a Ram/whiner game thinking we would get beat - even in the whiner hay day. And these guys are not them.
