After listening to GMFB blow the AFC West all morning over the four QBs they have in the division it's clear the NFC West has a rival now for the "best division" title. NFC West, interestingly enough, is still quite powerful given that they represented two teams in the most recent NFC Championship and the Rams hoisted the Lombardi. But we can't deny that with the Shehawks rebuilding and moving Wussell to the AFC things are a changin'.

Good chance the Shitters drop a bit in full year one of that young QB running the show. Reasonable chance the Cards dip a bit with all the horseshit coming from Murray right now. And the Shehawks certainly are gonna drop.

Is it over? Have the Rams blown this division up with the Stafford trade and Super Bowl? Sort of seems that way doesn't it. Seems to me like the Rams are gonna crush their divisional enemies, see them driven before them and hear the lamentation of their women.

Nice post and poll.

I'm not going to discount the Whiners. They will still be a challenge for the Rams. The Cards may be able to hang around early again. I have to see the moves they still have to make. Hags are rebuilding but, they could get Watson. The final rosters aren't set yet so let's see what happens between now and September. It is looking good for the Rams.

So far the strong AFC West has gotten stronger. Wilson and Mack trades carry a lot of positive weight to that division. The Chargers have more cap space to spend. Denver has a good roster before getting Wilson. The Chiefs will be a favorite for the Super Bowl. Even the Raiders are an above-average team. This division now by far has the best QBs which is the key to winning in the NFL.

They always gave the Shehawks too much credit and now that they are rebuilding they are discrediting the NFC west.

Big deal.

Nah it's still the NFC West.

The Raiders are as likely to go 3-14 as they are to make the playoffs next year. No guarantee that Seattle will be worse than them.

Of course Mahomes and Herbert are the sexy QBs, so they're getting hyped. Rams and Niners are better though. It's wishful thinking that the Niners drop - Jimmy played well against us, pretty awful against most other teams though.

Cardinals vs Broncos - we're looking at pretty much the same team here folks. Similar QBs, similar weapons, similar OL, and both had a top 10 defense, which usually experiences regression, as we experienced first hand.

The Broncos are going to be severely disappointed with that trade.

Both. AFC West and NFC West are pretty close.

Cream of the crop:
Rams - Chiefs

Second tier:
Niners - Broncos
Cardinals - Raiders

Third tier
Seahawks - Chargers

If the Hawks drop off (likely) and the Chargers progress the AFC West may have the edge.

AFC West is just a better overall division right now. They have quality QBs on every team.
The Chargers getting Mack will make a huge difference on their defense.
The Raiders are re-upping Carr and have started to create cap space.
The Broncos have solid depth on both sides of the ball and now Wilson (puking).
The Chiefs are who we thought the were …Denny Green.

The Hags are a mess.
The Cards are ready to drop tiny Tim.
TheNiners have a tough defense and run game. Lance will be their down fall or an 8-9 record.
The Rams are the current best team in football with their division going south. I am 100% ok with that. Makes their schedule a little more manageable IMO.

Right now, the best division for QB's is easily the AFC west. all 4 in the top 10. However, when brady hits the bay and if seattle trades for watson, then it's obviously the nfc west.

I think it's in everyones best interest that brady is traded to san fran because tampa can actually get their qb situation right with jimmy g plus a draft pick. Brady gets to go to his childhood dream team to finish out his historic career and tampa fills the qb void, as opposed to getting nothing out of toms retirement other than paying out his contract.

Seattle has to be thinking watson as a younger russell replacement just based on what the fuck else could they possibly do. They arent getting the top 2 qbs in the draft and who would they want in FA other than watson? Pete knows he has to deliver on a qb this year or he may be out after the season. You just dont get rid of russell wilson unless you know you can get a comparable qb elsewhere, especially at this stage in pete's career. Watson will keep him in seattle. Anyone else will see him getting fired before next year.

Sorry to say with Russell leaving Seattle and SF having an iffy situation, we're not the best division in football. Best team? Hell yes.
But AFC West is gonna be sick

I just can't agree with ya bro. The difference between AZ and Denver, is Russell IS a better QB and Denver has a top 10 D..
I'll put some ROD dollars on it with ya :)

Put it this way... would you rather the Rams play 6 games next year vs the Cards, Hawks with no Wilson and 9ers with de facto rookie Lance... or 6 games vs the AFC West teams?

Yeah, it's not close.

The AFC North may yet prove better than the NFC West too. We are lucky that the Packers so far appear to be our only real competition in the NFC.

I'd rather be the Big Fish in a small pond for a change and be like the Patriots, in that we have an automatic entry into the playoffs every year, with only three games to win a Super Bowl....Let the AFC West fight it out like sissies.

Why speculate? The question will be answered this year.

And quite frankly, I don’t care how it shakes out as long as we end up the best team—everyone else can fight their own battles.
