Bennett not ready to be QB2. I’m bringing in a vet if I’m the Rams.

We are not winning anything with a backup QB this year.

If we were in the playoff picture deep into the season then you could maybe revisit the issue.

But at that point Bennett has a whole season to digest the playbook and learn the NFL game.

If Bennett looked this shitty next preseason then yes, I would consider a proven vet, if the rest of the team is in place.

Rookies gonna rookie. But in fairness, even Stafford throws those same exact interceptions after 13 years in the league.

I’ll wait until the regular season to fully judge your posting. You’re probably just still in preseason form and working yourself into shape.

Probably more about not getting worked up over practice and preseason. If Stetson gets in a regular season game and sucks we can talk about it.

“Drama queen” isn’t name calling? Please.

There is nothing hypocritical about having a general sense of optimism for the team as a whole, while feeling we can do better at QB2.

No, its a factual depiction. You start a thread, folks disagree and you go off the rails. Wash, rinse, repeat.
You start one thread about how great you are for not having "dread" then a day later you're on the other spectrum

Maybe y’all are having a tough night, what with our guys who will never play football again losing badly to their guys who won’t play again…

Can we just lock this and limit the damage to the forum so we can move forward and focus on team composition and who we bring in to be our kicker?

For the record, I didn’t suddenly form my opinion of Bennett tonight. I didn’t think much of him as a prospect and, apart from a few moments in the first preseason game, I haven’t seen anything that has made me feel like he’s more than a JAG type.

I’m not saying we should cut him. I’d just like to see another vet on the roster while he (hopefully) develops.
