Raiders do have a lot of needs. And on the positive side they have a strong HC now in Gruden who will guide them forward, which is a way better spot than they were in before with the previous staff.

But the problem with trading a perennial pro bowler and future hall of fame type player is your chance of hitting on one of those guys is miniscule. So I like this move a lot more for the Bears, even though they also have a lot of needs. One great player doesn't make the team, but it's gonna help them.

Bears had an underrated D before this move. Leonard Floyd did great as a rookie, and progressing last year too before he and other defenders got hurt. Plus they have Roquan Smith and now Khalil Mack. And a decent secondary.

Plus on O they have weapons, Mitch Trubisky just needs to progress. If he does that the Bears can be a wild card team. Yes I said it. Not saying they will go 12-4 or something crazy like that, but 9 or 10 games is definitely doable.

Agree. The Vikes lack the creativity (or maybe just the balls?) to fully utilize a passing QB in their offense. I think Zimmer has a bit of Fisher in him in that regard. Packers and Lions will both be competitive, but of those teams lack a complete roster. That division will definitely be a crap shoot come late November early December.

Depending on who the Raiders draft with their two 1st rounders, Chicago is going to come out as winners at the moment. Doubtful they'll find players that'll meet Mack's production.

And for those that were glad to not have to face Mack in week 1 now get a bit of karma because we have to face him in Chicago after he's had time to get acclimated to a very good defensive coordinators scheme in Vic Fangio. Mack himself just by DC has upgraded his prospects.

Curious what other impact players the Bears have on defense. I expect our coaching staff to minimize Mack's presence on the field.

A pretty good young secondary, first round pick Roquan Smith and Danny Trevathan to go with a very good DC.

Sorry, the Raider’s get no breaks from me after they invaded LA and won a Super Bowl there..Now we are cursed with former Rams fans, who became Raiders fans after they won a Super Bowl in LA. Screw their fan base and Al Davis and the Raiders FOREVER, for doing that.
And thus why this news tickles me so. I don’t hate the raiduhs like I do the patsies, Whiners, and shecocks. I simply have disdaine for the entire organization. And when they carpet bagged their way into not only LA but my beloved Coliseum, I wanted to puke.

I went to a Raiduh game in the coliseum because they were playing the Chefs and it was Joe Manilow’s last game. I figured he was no longer a whiner and how many times do you get free tickets to see a HOF QB play. What a freaking shit show. Sunny NFL game day turned into thug life central. Fights outside the gates, at least a dozen fights in the end zone bleachers, my uncle’s car got massively keyed, just disgusting.

Hey Rai-DUHS..........

Now that is some funny shit right there. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Sam Farmer at the LA Times wrote a great article about Kroenke’s activities in LA. He has been building a state of the art stadium, as he promised. The sorry team he brought to LA has been transformed into the hottest sports franchise in LA, running neck and neck with Lebron’s Lakers and the Dodgers. He’s also shelling out an incredible amount of guaranteed money for core players, unlike the NFL poor like Mark Davis. Free Agents want to come here, because Kronke actually pays the dough. the best hire is Sean McVay by Silent Stan. I have not been very complimentary of him, but you have to give the devil his due, he is delivering in LA.
I'm with ya @LoyalRam, Stan is da man for sure! I have that one lil nagging shred of doubt though. This 2 year window is critical to him. Selling seats at the new stadium is crucial right now. I worry that once all the seating licenses are sold, things might slow down on the generosity front. I surely HOPE that won't be the case!

But...that was the best thing the Raiders ever did!(n)
Yes, but the stupidity of the move just made me hate them more. Davis couldn't have LA so he fought like hell to get it. Then said never mind. Oh but nobody else gets to go there, cause that market is mine. WTF.

What an idiotic move for an idiotic organization. Mark Davis is nothing like his father.
