Injuries only dramatically impact a season when there is no quality depth. The patriots have lost a couple of linemen this year and haven't missed a beat. The Rams didn't have much talent to begin with in their #1's, and it falls off a cliff after that.
The inability of this regime to draft and develop quality offensive line talent is #1 with a bullet as to why they have struggled. They have used quality draft picks on defense and ignored the offense in a league that is an offense first league. On top of that, the premium picks they have used on offense (Robinson and Tavon) have either been gadget players who do not have immediate results or, in Robinson's case, a "project" with upside. The problem with the Robinson pick is you are banking on a regime with absolutely 0 success developing offensive line talent to develop a raw, undeveloped offensive line talent. Robinson's problems are technique, confidence, and football IQ, three things that are a coaches paramount responsibility.
If Robinson flakes out and ends up a bust, which is how he has trended his entire career, it is an indictment on the organization, not the player.
