I'm sure he isn't ready / but neither is anyone else.

I say let's run our sentences concurrently and let the baptism by fire begin

Battle - LT
GRob - LG
Barnes - C
Rhaney - RG
Havenstein - RT

It won't be pretty - but let's at least start the real learning curve.

Too rash?

I would like 2016 to begin with 5 lineman who have all taken live NFL snaps at the position they are being asked to play.

Are we talking this year or next ?
I've got this for next week :

LT - Williams (Donnal & Battle competing)
LG - Robinson
C - Barnes
RG - Reynolds
RT - Havenstein

Next year i've got :

LT - Saffold
LG - Brown
C - Voltz
RG - Robinson
RT - Havenstein

But i'm guessing for next week Fisher will go :

LT - Robinson
LG - Wichmann or Reynolds
C - Barnes
RG - Reynolds or Wichmann
RT - Havenstein

Either way, pretty sure Fisher has already been on the phone to bring Battle up from the practice squad. jmo

Oh, I thought you were saying you didn't like how he's performed.
Oh no , Havenstein is probably our best OL , not sure about today , so someone correct me if I'm wrong , but Havenstein has only given up like one sack all year , pretty darn good for a rookie

I'm talking next week.

Robinson/Reynolds/Barnes/Wichmann/Havenstein.

Thats what Im going with. Fisher may very well go with Rhaney but Id rather see what Wichmann can do. He is a G. Not a T switching to G or a C switching to G or a G switching to T. Just a big aggressive, physical G. How that translates I don't know.

I am not giving up on Robinson at LT just yet. I preferred him at G from day one, but, the team has committed him to LT. The one hold call was bogus vs Chicago for sure. His pass blocking, while still not pretty, has improved from week one. His run blocking is still hit and miss, literally sometimes. He plays with bad balance. Too often he makes contact with a defender while run blocking and just sort of bumbles around and loses his guy or his angle. He can still grow into the position. Pace was much, much more polished than Robinson when he came out of college and he didnt really hit his stride until year three of his career.

I don't get the Donnell love....The times I have seen him, he has gotten owned...I would rather give Battles a shot over him.

Wow. So, to start, so many crucial injuries. ..anyone see a theme?

The why, I can't explain.

It just stinks.

I'd endorse, any healthy bodies start, on the OL.

Williams played OK, GRob, got screwed.

One call on a non hold, although, I understand why that was hold was called. It looked like a hold from behind the way the guy fell. The others were holds from what I could tell.

If there's one thing I learnt yesterday it's that Fisher won't admit he's wrong, and moving Robinson would be admitting so, so get used to it.

To me, it's a comparitive game. Now, when GROB gets called for a call that negated a TD, and KLong, blatantly bear hugs our DE for a 60 - 70 TD, wow. Bad, real bad. And that is two plays. I could go on and on

PI's, other blatant holds, and GROB for questionable calls. Feel bad for him. Except for one that I can remember, all Bears plays were, POI sprung plays, by blatant non-calls. Everyone in my house saw them.

Part of why we lost.

We all know why we lost, so badly.

GRob seems out of position far to often and then makes things worse by holding when he's beaten like a drum.

So a guy as athletic and strong as he is, he seems to whiff when locking on to guys and gets turned around. And his D recognition seems poor.

I think he's just not an NFL LT worthy of the two overall. Stud guard average at best LT....
Mouth what do I know? I'll start looking at him from now on.

If I can bring myself to watch anymore games.
