Another media nobody with an anti-Rams bias.

You know McVay has been planning a Vikings rematch since last year's game. I expect many new wrinkles. The Rams have been widening the field with the Jet Sweeps that were different than last year's fakes to TA. I don't think the Viking stop the Rams this time around. Bart who?

Stopping the Rams just requires a great defense. You need 3x corners, good back end play at safety, and a front seven who can limit TG. Pressure on Goff would help too, of course.

No offense is unstoppable though. At some point they all face a defense who has the right pieces to match up. Acting like you have a secret because you think some team will eventually stop a great offense is idiotic.

it’s not that complicated and can be neutralized.

OK, then why don't you go get a head coaching job in the NFL? I mean, if you are so smart that you can devise the plan... surely, you'd have offers - no?

Oh... no offers? Then shut your pie-hole and go back to your useless job as a third tier anal-yst.

That's not to say that the Rams offense might not run into problems Thursday night... but the vast majority of knowledgeable NFL minds would not go out on that limb, after seeing what they've done thus far.

Ummmm.... WTF? Lighten up and don’t call out other members like this for their opinion. We saw the GSOT get neutralized by Tampon. It happens.

Was watching first things first this morning and Bart Scott was on saying that the Rams offense was a lot of window dressing and that it’s not that complicated and can be neutralized. He said they will run into a team that can shut them down, maybe this week. Hopefully McVay learned something from the Viking and Falcon games last year where the offense was shut down and he has a plan.
BART!!!

Is there an offense he is impressed with? Just curious, for the sake of comparisons and analysis of his thought process....

Did he give examples of how he would neutralize it?

Or was it just some rhetoric?

Pretty simple to stop the Rams, really...Like the Charger fan said: shut down Gurley, have yor elite corners take away Cooks, Woods, and Kupp...Then it's just a matter of putting heavy pressure on Goff because he'll fold...I don't really see why people think they're so good..

The hot take this season will be that the Rams aren’t that good. That’s to be expected. It’s the hot take because it’s ridiculous.

I don't know about the rest of you, but if the offense is all window dressing then give me more of it because before window dressing the Ram offense was not existing.

Sorry man. It didn’t seem like your style. I just saw that you quoted a member and thought it was directed at him. My bad.

@Rmfnlt - I removed my inappropriate as well. Sorry for the confusion. Just don’t do it again.

;)

Bart Scott can only wish that he had a better NFL career than Jared Goff has already.

I guess in a way he’s kinda right. The plays they run aren’t earth shattering or anything and have been ran by many teams for many years. The issue for defenses is the amount of talent among the players running these plays.

Sure it’s easy to stop jet sweeps but not when spreading out your lbs opens up huge lanes for Gurley up the gut. Yea you can load the box to defend runs up the middle and the jet sweeps but then who is gonna help cover a deep route by our speedy wrs. I guess you can load the box to stop the runs and play cover 3 and make sure your dbs know to do what ever it takes to not get beat deep but then who’s left to defend goffs favorite throw, the deep in/crossers?

By themselves the plays are easy to defend. All together its much much tougher. With the personal the rams have, its nearly impossible.

Side note: this is s good example why cooks was such a huge get. In 3 weeks he’s doing much more than Watkins did all season
