yea ive given up trying to convince ppl Goff didnt lose that game. I love McVay and glad we have him and would love to have him for ever, but he certainly has a lot of flaws and i think the SB really really exposed that yet the blame got put on Goff. I'll openly admit Goff has flaws and hes not perfect but its tiresome arguing with ppl about him cuz the media has their narrative and will continue sticking to it and everyone just follows along. It annoying to always have to hear from ppl how "bad" Goff is and how everything is his fault, but he certainly doesnt seem bothered by it and thats really what matter. hopefullly he proves the haters wrong and gets that SB win (even if itll only be because of McVay and all the headset coaching he does)
Don't you know that McVay has a remote control that completely controls Goff's actions during his good games and loses his remote control during the bad games?

Her man she used to stand by, George Jones, used to give me shit every time I would escort him from his dressing room to the stage and page the curtains with my mag light. The first time he asked if he could see my flashlight and I let him and he walked right out on stage with it. He was an onery ol bastard, but in a kind of charming and funny way. He used to perform at the theater I was working about 4 times a year.

Funny seems many country singers named George. George Jones was defiantly high maintenance, but could flat out get it done. He lived a hard life, but all the ladies seemed to love him. Maybe they thought they could change him.

My wife once said, when asked "What is your husband's greatest attribute?" She said, I didn't have to change him besides many other nice things. Wasn't always sure that was a compliment.

I just subscribed to that site. The Josh Allen article mentioned in the Goff article is fascinating too because of Kurt Warner's analysis. I recommend the people who read the article on here click on the link. A lot of these sites survive on clicks and views. It's worth giving it a click here. Here's the Allen article with a little taste of what Warner said:
A quarterback cannot razzle ‘n dazzle ‘n playmake his way to three playoff wins in a row. As special as Aaron Rodgers and Russell Wilson are, Warner believes both only have one ring apiece because both relied so heavily on freelancing much of their careers. Which also helps explain why Brady has simultaneously spent his entire adult life collecting rings. You never watch one of his playoff games and scream at the top of your lungs that Brady made 15 “ridiculous!” throws but Brady makes the right throw “over and over and over again,” Warner says.

This brand of quarterbacking is what rises to the top.

“If you’re playing against three good defenses,” Warner says, “and you think you’re going to make enough plays ad-libbing to beat them, it’s probably not going to happen.

“So when I say, ‘What is your ceiling?’ I want to know: How complete can your game be? Not how athletic you are and how far that can take you. But how complete can you be — Can you see your hots? Can you understand protections? Can you throw the ball away when you need to throw the ball away? Can you make the tight throw when you have to? Can you read and process to your third and fourth receiver consistently when a team takes away your 1 and 2? Can you make the lay-ups? … It’s always more mental when a guy reaches his ceiling and a guy continues to get better and better and better. It’s not because they’re getting better physically. It’s because they’re getting better mentally. And that’s what we want to know: What is your ceiling Josh Allen, in terms of your mental ability to process and understand everything from technique to reading coverages to making the throws to making the right decisions?

“That, to me, becomes the ultimate question with this new-era of quarterback. How long can they sustain what they’re doing to have their statistical success before it’s going to have to adjust? And if they do or if they don’t will determine how long they play in this game and at that level.”

The Thing I like about ALLEN right Now is he just Beat The NINERS!!!

the biggest take from Goff was his positive attitude on his success this season & how he will continue to handle himself.

I appreciate that the Rams have Goff...but I'm gonna say it again:

I don't know this, but it seems to me McVay is now hurting Goff more than helping him. I say that because it seems to me Goff doesn't have a lot of liberty once he receives a play from McVay. It seems here are LIMTED things Goff can do.

When it comes to Goff I really wonder how much time he spends watching game film of the opposing defense...because there are times when he seems to have no clue.

Having FULL COMMAND of the offense is what I look for...for Goff to get to the next level...but will McVay give him that???

Please keep in mind what I said, is based on what I think...not what I know.

I don't think Goff is a victim. I don't think McVay is holding him back either, in fact he is fortunate to be under Sean McVay. Let's see him grow through the shit he has on his plate now before more is heaped on him.

Agree, it's tough to understand the dynamic between McVay and Goff behind the scenes, and how much control Goff actually has at the line of scrimmage. In the post game comments, from another thread, I highlighted part of McVay's comments where he said something to the effect that Goff "managed the run game" well vs the Cards. I think in this case, we can at least trust McVay was being honest, and that Goff did have some control over the run game at the line of scrimmage. So hopefully that's an example of the "command of offense" you're looking for. McVay has been good for Goff IMO - just compare his development under Fisher vs now :D. Of course it's important for this duo to continue to improve and develop Goff to have even more control over the offence.

Keep in mind, Brady is considered by many to be the GOAT of QBs, and he performed pretty poorly against us - every QB will have ups and downs, and it's fair to criticize the mistakes, but we should also appreciate when they perform well. Goff was under tremendous pressure after the Niners game to clean things up, and I think he stepped up to the challenge well.

I keep picturing a point to where Goff/McVay will mature into a Brees/Peyton kind of
mind meld. Only difference being, Snead will continually Keep this team stocked
with talent on both sides of the ball.Saints have not always had that.
