This is a likeable group who are all business all the time. Kupp, Stafford, Woods, Donald, Miller are known throughout the league as good guys and great players. Popular guys because they ball and none of the other crap. People don't like Ramseys ego but he at least has the play to back it up.

I think, even post-OBJ signing, there will be a lot of people round the league who would want to see guys like Stafford and Donald get rings. Especially if the alternative is Tom Brady AGAIN.

We have a history of stubbing our toe. The laughing stock of the NFL for years. No respect.
We have a qb who hasn't won big games. He has lots of help this time
"All in" might not be enough. we get to see the outcome right before our eyes. Super entertaining if nothing else. Go rams
I hear ya, and I get that sentiment. But fuck it. This cat is a beast if a WR. Top 5 when healthy. Lets fucking go.

Why are any Steeler fans angry? They continue to get wins gift wrapped to them by the Zebras.
I think until we get to this point we should be ok with having haters. I don't see anyone saying, "god dammit, they always seem to eek out a win even when they play like shit! Screw those damn media darlings!" No, every time we get media attention we shit the bed, so nah. No one's hating on us. If anything, people are just sitting back waiting to say, "Hehe oh those Rams..."

I wouldn’t know why they would.
The Rams haven’t won anything yet. Plus the prime time games haven’t been very impressive.

Many like that we are all in and envy us. Some will hate because they are just haters. Some are jealous because their teams didn't think about foregoing draft picks like we did but you have to be at back end of draft for that to work right and most teams aren't there.

I agree that it's likely more about envy than anything else. L.A. has great weather, world class beaches, beautiful women and a strong economy, but what irritates football fans who already dislike us is that not only do we possess the finest stadium in the realm, we also have a young prodigy Head Coach and a General Manager who appears to be re-writing the rules on "How to Succeed in Business Without really Trying". OK, he's trying, but on a level above what most get to see. Since the McSnead era began, the Rams have been giving up high draft picks left & right, and it actually began a year prior to McVay arriving with the trades which helped us get Goff. But I wonder just how many football fans outside of L.A. understand how the Rams were transformed by using our lesser draft picks to garner top talent ? Aaron Donald is the only 1'st round draft pick currently on the Rams roster that they actually picked themselves, and the Rams have 7 total 1'st round players that Snead has gone after and reigned in. OBJ, Floyd, Von Miller, Sony Michel, Ramsey & Stafford are the other 1'st rounders that cowboy Snead has lassoed in thru making incredible deals & trades.
Current Rams management knows how the game is played, and if others choose to whine about it, ... tough shit !

I didn't hate the Eagles 2011 "Dream Team", I just waited for them to implode. I think that where most other fan bases are with the current Rams. If they win it all... then there will be some hate.

Exactly. People hate winners when it's not them. If we win a few the hate will begin. I never hated the Chiefs until they became good and you couldn't turn on any sports channel without hearing about them. Loving their implosion

People don't hate us, but they don't want us to be successful either. But it's not hate IMO.

Take the no call in the NFCCG - back in 2010 NFCCG, the NFL apologized to the Vikings for missed calls, else they would have beaten the Saints.

Even when the Patriots have done everything they've done...

No situation came close to the vitriol over the no call - which is completely nonsensical because after the no call, the Saints had the lead. Then they had OT. No NFL teams fan base ever tried to sue the NFL for the Patriots cheating.

It came down to the general public having little to no rooting interest in us. Almost like a apathetic feel toward us, whereas Brees was always easy to root for. This permeates through the media.

Because of this apathy, fans/media will almost always root for the other team. Hence almost every media member focusing on the no call instead of the fact that they allowed us to tie the game, then had the ball first in OT.

It's certainly a product of our irrelevance in STL.

And now we defy the natural order of treating first round picks like unicorns, which has another host of people rooting against us who want draft picks to continue to be overvalued.

I agree with all, but one point which needs correcting.

A fan did sue the NFL and it even got to court. The lawyers for the NFL argued that the fan wasn't entitled to a "fair contest" with all the legal ramifications of such including certain anti-trust benefits and instead argued that the NFL was "entertainment" and as such, fans are ONLY entitled to a seat to watch the entertainment.

This may be a legal distinction, but lucky for the NFL not many made a stink at the time and it inoculates them from when the NFL is finally found out to be fixing the SB.

Am I gonna complain if we win this SB? Heck no. I mean we've seen since SB36 that they go with the story. Well... we're the story right now.

But if I want pure contests, I can watch baseball, basketball or the Olympics. all sorts of imperfections there as well, but cheaters are stripped of titles and cheating players aren't rewarded...although baseball came very close to letting them cheat wrt the steroid scandal. Notice none of these guys from that era are getting sniffs for the HoF, for example.

Still, football is fun, most of the games especially in the early season are pure football and it's entertaining. Sad it's not a full sport, but we'd know it was because after the cheating, a full and open investigation would have been done and then the Pats would have been stripped. They weren't. That's how that goes.

Agreed. But they hate not being a top three AFC team they’ve been spoiled for too long. Some of the Steeler fans that I know hate that the Rams got Miller and OBJ. I’m guessing because their team never makes moves like that and they also have a stick up their ass because TJ Watt didn’t get defensive Player of the year. That may be the underlying reason for all of it.

The media simply likes to sensationalize things to make it newsworthy. Frankly, teams are jealous that the Rams have a FO willing to do whatever they feel needs to be done to improve the team. Isn't that exactly what they are supposed to do.

Most franchise FOs are constrained by ownership. Just look at SoFi, the jewel of the NFL privately funded. You don't think other owners aren't jealous? You don't think other GMs would like that kind of freehand? Not all would of course, they are stuck in their outmoded framework of how things "should work".

You watch, next year more teams will begin to emulate the Rams if they indeed win the Lombardi. But when you look at how Snead is building this team it's perfectly sustainable. I love management that thinks outside the box. As a former business owner, I applaud it. I started my own business with a 15 year old pickup and $100 in capital. I was successful because I thought outside of the box.

In business, and the NFL is just that, you either keep innovating and moving forward or you get left behind.

It might just be media and YouTubers in Detroit, but the attitude has sort of changed in the last few weeks as Stafford succeeded in LA and Goff has yet to win a game in the Motor City. Not everyone is like that, but the envy is growing.
Feel bad for Goff right now…that gorilla on his back must weigh 10,000 pounds right now.

Have to win or it will just be humorous to some. Tough schedule ahead and if the Rams don't win the division they could be on the road for the playoffs and underdogs in all contests. Cardinals need to lose and Rams need to win, that's it.
Yeah -- whenever anybody brings up the Eagles "Dream Team," it's always with a snicker.

Though they were a little different than the current Rams, because they called THEMSELVES the Dream Team. There was an arrogance and entitlement mentality with that team. So when they failed miserably, lots of people were only too happy to kick them when they were down.

I don't see that kind of arrogance with this team. But then, I'm a fan. Maybe others see it differently.
