One of the guys on the Herd said he reviewed drafts since the new CBA and that they all seemed to fit the parameters of the original chart Jimmy Johnson came up with. Maybe GMs are using it because it's a standard, or has been, and so makes doing deals easier.
Most probably go by the chart. Though no way OAK got face value last year in dealing the 1.3 to MIA for Dion Jordan, dropping all the way to 1.12 and only getting a second.
Hopefully this year is more of a seller's market at the top, with more QB needy teams than there are QBs in the top 10.
