I'm thinking of buying one of my sons a RC Helicopter for Christmas and want to get him a neat one. Anybody here mess with these things? I've seen them with cameras, lights, missiles, etc. Sounds fun.

I test flew one of those whirling blades of death in a Brooks Stone store @ the mall a year or two ago. I crashed that little fucker directly into the face of the cashier. I was certain that I had just sliced her eyes out.... thankfully, I only ended up tangling the shit out of her hair in the blades of death. Scissors were required for removal.
Those things are a Trip to the Emergency Room waiting to happen.

right, the petrol powered ones are powerful enough to slice thru a little ones limbs. I've always wanted one myself, but have been told I should wait until I am a very advanced user.
