Just about everything went the Rams’ way in their 33-7 drubbing of the Texans on Sunday afternoon, dominating Houston in just about every facet of the game. They did suffer a few injuries in the win, however, though none of them are serious.
Lamarcus Joyner, Sammy Watkins and Rodger Saffold all left with injuries, providing Los Angeles with a few scares. Joyner and Watkins were able to return, but Saffold wasn’t as lucky. He left with an ankle injury and remained on the turf for a few moments before being replaced by Austin Blythe.
He never returned to the lineup, but Sean McVay shared a bit of good news after the win. He said Saffold “just rolled his ankle a little bit” and could have gone back in had it not been a blowout.
Saffold has been one of the best left guards in the league this season, pairing nicely next to Andrew Whitworth. Fortunately, it doesn’t sound like the Rams will have to be without him for any period of time moving forward, keeping the starting offensive line intact.
