Perfect example of over paying corners. Trumaine Johnson got something like $70 million and is signed until 2022.........and he was benched by the Jets on Monday night in favor of another player.
Teams are desperate for corners. We all knew he was overpaid at the time.

Peter's will be priced out of the Rams range. I'm not as high on long as many here are, but it would make sense to resign Talib and let Peters walk, especially since Wade doesn't favor zone coverage. That way Talib can help Long adjust to starting. They need to draft another press corner in the next draft also. That is why I'd trade for Ramsey if they can sign him to for a few years. They won't find close to his talent level at the backend, and I think Long won't be anything special.

Yeah, if we're going to overpay for a CB, I'd rather it be for a cover man CB like Ramsey. Coach up Long to take over for Talib and we're good. Plus Rapp is going to be a star.

I've been in Peters' corner, but if I had to choose, I'd choose Ramsey.

Of course, that'd presume the Rams are good with him. If they aren't, then I'm not, either.

Twenty six is young, period, but especially true when discussing maturity.

Marcus Peters is only five months older than Cooper Kupp, to put in perspective.

26 is not young in the NFL. 30 is considered old in the NFL. It's just the way it is. 26 is basically middle aged.

A 26 year old who is in his 5th season should be in the prime of his career, knowing what needs to be done. A 5th year player who shys away from contact (like Peters does) is unlikely to suddenly start being a physical player. A 26 year old who picks up stupid penalties (as Peters does) is unlikely to suddenly have the light turn on.

He's not a useless player, but is unlikely to be worth the contract another team will offer him. Which other player should the Rams let go instead of him who is going to get big money? Choices have to be made. I personally choose the guy who in his 5th season makes stupid fouls, who does not play the run well at all, as the guy who gets sacrificed so the Rams can keep players like JJIII etc. Especially since some team will overpay him, and the Rams will probably get a third for him.

I cant recall a game where so many helmets 'flew' off in contact. Not sure they were all incidental contact. Maybe the refs just let them play after they let the 1st one go. Cant be seen to let one go and penalise the 2nd occurrence.

That's must have been why AB helmet was a no go.. it actually stayed on
