So are they backing off Odell or not bringing Bobby Trees back? You don't cut an afterthought like Atwell after you've spent $30 large guaranteed at the position...

I'm guessing this proves the Jags waaaay over paid for Kirk. Kirk may be younger, but I would take Robinson over Kirk. Just hope it doesn't cost us Woods. Could this be the $ they were planning to give Miller? If so it shouldn't effect any starters cap wise.

I'd be surprised if it was Woods. I believe the main reason Minnesota gives for wanting to trade Hunter was to create more CAP space, and Woods wouldn't help nearly as much as Jefferson would on this.
jmo.

So I get that this guy is good but can someone tell me what the differentiator for him is? Someone mentioned Atwell and deep threats. Another person mentioned fighting for the ball well, unlike Jefferson. I watched a highlight video and he seems to catch and fall a lot. Very little YAC in what I saw, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

Could someone familiar with a greater portion of his body of work elaborate on what he brings to the table?

Nonsense. Kupp knows the drill. He knows this team is serious about championships and has the highest standards. He might even already know that is coming.

Agree. Kupp is a pro and understands the business. He was great friends with Goff too, but like a pro he moved on when Goff got moved for Stafford.

IMO this probably means Woods is going to be released. Releasing Woods would clear the way cap wise for Robinson.

OBJ is injury prone and won't be able to play until November or December.

Robinson brings good length and speed, with a proven record of performance. This will insure the Rams are completely 3 deep at WR. Kupp, Jefferson and Robinson would be a deadly trio.
If I remember correctly releasing Woods gets almost no dead money off the books, not buying it.

I don’t believe anything that happens on this team until I see it.

A trade with Minnesota makes sense to help out with a new offense install. But they’d be trading what many players consider the heart and soul of the team. So we’ll see. The injury obviously has to come into play also, but if they trade Woods they still only have two studs for most of the season and nobody to replace his blocking and gadget play role.
Skow was outstanding as a blocker out of the backfield which was something Woody did a lot of. Skow's bigger and more physical in that, and they also have Harris as a WR now both of those guys are big and rangy special teams types willing to get dirty.

I will be surprised if Woody isn't moved or cut now. Again I appreciate Woody. But gotta be realistic here. If the Rams can fit him in at that price more power to them but I just don't see how that makes sense.

Not sure why ya'all think McVay would get rid of Woods. He got a big contract because he does things no other WR does. McVay loves how he blocks, does picks over the middle, and damn good at catching the ball too.

Woods ain't going nowhere. He's an integral part of McVays offense.

Looks like great hands and a real 50/50 ball WR that Stafford can exploit. Could say as much about Benny Skow as the big WR. This takes the pressure off of Woods early on and could mean a Jefferson trade. With Snead and the Rams, you never know what's next.

That would help Stafford's INT numbers, given how many of his picks this year were contested and/or underthrown. Prime example being the throw to Jefferson in the Super Bowl. He did nothing to try and get that ball.

Les: "Matthew! MATTHEW!!!!! We happy?"

Stafford: "Oh, we happy."
My guess says that the Rams maybe are seeing that the defense will see a slight downgrade so why not upgrade this shit out of our offense just in case.
If that’s their concern, then bolstering the o-line should be a bigger priority.

I don't know if they cut woods. Maybe OBJ doesn't make it because of the timeline of his injury. Maybe all 4 of them come back. I dunno

Yeah I was just thinking the same thing.

Holy shit, I did NOT see this coming. It’s an interesting move, but that means that Jefferson and/or Atwell are likely trade bait.
Atwell trade? I think more likely a cut.
