It's free as a gift sub. Most interesting issue is the hair cut we'd take to cap space next year if we release Jackson for Decker.
Might be worth it though. Wonder if there's a way Decker's good buddy could help us there....
His contract would be cheap since the acquiring team would be off the hook in regards to his signing bonus' prorated cap hit.
Probably could work out a conditional pick trade. In a perfect world he plays this year after his suspension. They win a ring, then they move him in the offseason to restock some draft capital. Plus, they actually save $19M in cap space with a pre June trade, with only $5M of dead cap.

Let's take a wait and see approach before we are critical of what the suspension will be and for how many games.
Again. The Rams knew they had a risk regarding backup OT. Quessenberry and Acuri are a 1-game solution at best. Better to figure that out before the season starts than during the season.

He keeps score of the players with whatever system they have.I guess the end of OTA’s they count the numbers up,or how they keep score.WHIT use to be the leader.I saw Whit passing it on to Big Rob basically.He use to mentor Rob & Noteboom,after practice working on foot work(steps,balance,ect)
AJ works at LT & has been in The Rams system for awhile now.Warren when Alaric was out last season switched to LT a least from what I saw against Dallas(scrimmage) without Stafford at QB???? I honestly can’t remember who else was the backup & that I’m almost sure DJ Humpries wasn’t there & the first time I saw him play Was(tv) playing RT(End) on a Field Goal try & he didn’t even move his feet to block the gunner.Then in that(Detroit live) Falcons game he played LT to give Alaric Jackson off(injury caution).
Quess is the Leader of the kangaroo court is what I’ll call it.He was voted in by The Rams O”Line(team mates) group.He brings that veteran presence & knows the system.The MAN on The field of course is Coleman.He’s the one they respect & listen to for the play calls.Don’t know what there silent system is,but they all have to have communication when is super loud.
When your talking TROST your talking about a ROOKIE who from Highlights he is a RIGHT TACKLE.
IMO Trist is a TRUE RT,Bug Rob was what I would call a TRUE RT.He was always on The RIGHT SIDE weather at Tackle or GUARD which I think he could’ve been better at because he always had a little tough time grouping that outside foot & then the slide to get further out on the Speed Rush.Inside he use to MAUL people.
My point of view I see TROST as a OLIneman who grabs a hold of a defender you’re going to have a tough time getting away from him.
He will release & go but is a big guy at 6”4 315 quick enough for the edge rushers
I will speculate that since nobody really got hurt that charges are dropped, the league will "investigate," and because it is really a nothing burger blown out of proportion, nothing happens and the Rams go on to win the SB.
What in the world just tickled your babble gene? Not sure what the hell you thought you just said but I agree the Rams could well be giving Trost a look at LT just in case. What would be the harm?
I could see them not wanting to weaken both RT & LT, if they feel McClendon would struggle at LT. It is a big change for some since your footwork completely reverses.
So maybe your replacement LT just gets a little TE and RB help snd you schene to help him. I would still pursue Decker, and maybe he has interest since he could see the opportunity to be here for 2 years.
I hope the Rams have some inside information on whether Jackson's impending suspension will come this year or next. If the first incident happened in 2023 and he was suspended in 2024, maybe they won't have to worry about it till next year. Whatever the case I think they have to consider moving on from him at some point. He didn't learn the first time. That is usually a red flag when a guy does this stuff more than once.
