.

here are all his touches from the game. man he looked good in space.

he ran into the back of woods twice, still some timing issues to work through.

Yeah lost in a very poor performance was our rookie RB having a nice day. He was decisive and showed good vision making the most of every carry he had. His time is very close. Might be able to give us a lift over the rest of the schedule in fact because this boy can ball. (y)

Yeah I almost think he saw the angle of the guy from his right, thought about stalling to let him miss in front, maybe not realizing there were guys right on his heels

Jason Verett is just a very fast person unfortunately. Think he just went into ball protection mode more than anything because between that and Sherman having an angle he knew he wasn't going to make it. All though I was yelling at him to switch his ball carrying hand before that lol.

Lets give him at least 50% of the snaps against the bad Cards run D next week and see what he can do when he's in rhythm

Made sense to have an RBBC until Cam learned the offense, to hold on to the ball, and to get better at PassPro. But now Sean should give Akers the keys since he's proving how gaining an average of 5 YPC in the SEC for his college career prepared him for the NFL. Looking forward to Cam dominating in the remaining games.

Really like this kid and want to see him used more. My only complaint is he sometimes runs right into the OL - be patient on those ones and find your spots young fellow.

I think DH and Cam should split the carries. Brown can play on 3rd downs. (Cam played in the ACC, though.)

I don’t know. Akers still needs to improve, his big run he still had a hard time staying on his feet & maybe even taken it to the House.
Henderson is a good rhythm RB.He doesn’t read his blocks real well.
Malcom Brown does not fumble on his 2nd carry The Rams would have won the game by 14 easy imo.He is a solid RB.
If we look carry to carry it’s a hard call. I was happy when Brown got a 2nd carry, but then again it came off a long run & giving him an excuse might have been a little out of breath. He needs to hold onto the ball
and as much as his first carry could have changed the game his fumble really gave the 9ers life.

I think we win that game easy if he doesn't fumble.

I'd like to see Brown just be the 3rd down back even though we'd lose some things in tempo once we made a 3rd down. I think Akers is n the cusp of really breaking out. And once he understands protections better, start giving him some of Brown's 3rd down reps.
Just my 2 cents.

Brown is not good. Pissed about the fumble but Donald saved his ass. I was hoping henderson was the guy, but he's faded a bit the past couple weeks. Akers 61 yard run was the Rams longest since 2017.

Brown should be limited to redzone and short yardage situations where they want a bullrush type carrier. Other than that his ass should be firmly planted on the pine.

Brown is not the vet who knows the whole offense and doesn't make mistakes. He's not the safe option. He's the vet who still fucks up. Also in pass pro Akers has been pretty damn good. So I don't see any real dropoff. I think the problem right now is all mental and getting Akers to where he can survive a full install with most of the snaps he probably is not there yet. He's been stuck in the "study these run plays for this Sunday" mode and that last game started looking like his college film so maybe he's turning the corner that's my hope at least.

Frustrating thing is the O”Line is creating some nice gaps up front.

Of course the O”Line has to be accountable for some of the lack of production as well though.

The hope is Akers matures quickly. He needs more leg strength & power.

What pissed me of was The Rams Defense took over the game. The Rams offense finally got in the board with a weak FG. .Hill scored the TD & The defense got the ball right back & Akers gives The Rams a 3 point lead.

Games tied with 2:30 left in the game & the offense is in a good rhythm. Why Mcvay got into a hurry & didn’t run the ball on 2 & 5 ends up leaving to much time on the clock & the 9ers a chance to get the ball back with to much time on the clock.

Akers deserved to get the ball back another time after scoring.
