Feels like a bad pairing but a QB's best friend is a great defense. He will have that with Tomlin.
I have to believe he and Tomlin have something going
The Steelers are 100% better than the 2024 Jets, and after a rough start AR was pretty good. If he comes close to his '24 production, the Steelers will be pretty good

Tomlin is going to lose the team... or literally slap the shit out of Ayahuasca Boi in front of the team.

Either way... I'm gonna enjoy watching.

Squealer Hater since 79. Fuck them and their bomboclot towels.

What number will he wear?
Will he rock the Tommy Maddox #8?

I think this puts them in play for their division. Unless he has fallen off the age cliff since last year.

Any POTA reference is an automatic thread winner from me
My favorite sci-fi of all time. It hits on so many levels. I didn’t get all of them when I was a kid. I just remember practically crapping my pants the first time those apes came in on horseback and all the humans were running.

:clinkingbeer:Here's hoping Aaron Rodgers has all the same success Joe Namath had when he came to the Rams in '76!

Hmmmmm. Rodgers in pitt? No idea how this goes but I have a feeling it will look something like the jets. Steelers have been treading water for years now after Big Ben.

I think he'll do better than most of us hope/expect. A defensive oriented, run first team with a very experienced QB? I think despite his diminishing skills, this is probably the best place for Rodgers. The question, as always, will be can he fit in and follow the plan?

Rodgers doesn’t like to throw over the middle anymore. I read a stat that showed how his throws over the middle drastically reduced over the years. I think he did it 6% of the time last year. He hates risky passes and Int’s. Arthur Smith’s offense is based on zone blocking and crossing patterns. He wants to spread the defense horizontally.

Smith was an odd fit for the Steelers roster a few years ago. He’s still an odd fit, even though they did adjust their run scheme for him. Now, Rodgers is an odd fit for Smith’s offense.

We’ve seen how particular Aaron Rodgers can be about surrounding himself with friends that he trusts. He won’t have that in Pittsburgh. Plus he now has a headstrong head coach. Will Aaron Rodgers’ and Mike Tomlin’s egos clash? How about Rodgers and DK Metcalf?

I’ll be surprised if it all works out well. Coaches say it’s really hard to win in the NFL each week. Being a disjointed team makes that even more difficult.
