The Equipment Manager is going to get canned next!

Do they simply not like Sean McVay ?
I was thinking the same thing. Could working for McVay be that bad?

Or, are the Rams being cheap and not ponying up some dough, giving raises, to keep our coaches?

We need a serious investigation as to wtf is going on...maybe, even a Special Prosecutor!

I've never ever seen this many coaches leave a team before. Sure when new HCs come in they may bring a whole new staff, but a jailbreak like this out of Rams park? Baffling.

Maybe McVay is such a good mentor that all these coaches feel they learned everything there is to learn to move up.

Do we still have an equipment manager? Who's gonna put stickers on the helmets???!!! :zany:

What. The. Fuck. Are we going to lose every fucking coaching staff member?
I was asking for some Rams love from the poke-mon, Missouri fandom the last three days, and nothing. I have to go ~ Kromer

Is McVay a little tyrant? No one wants to stay. Or is he such a good coach and mentor that everyone wants a piece of his brilliance? Because this is crazy how much of a turnover our coaching staff goes thru every year.
Most of the departing coaches have moved on to higher level roles.

DC to Head Coach
Ass’t HC to DC
Passing Game Coordinator to OC
CB coach to Passing Game Coordinator/Secondary Coach
Ass’t OL Coach to Run Game Coordinator.

So we think the ol needs big improvement and not living up to expectations. Put this guy here move this guy to here. Let this guy walk. Draft oline, get a FA center........ Then the ol coach leaves and people are concerned?

This one feels different. Sounds like disagreement on something.

Maybe Sean's thinking of going away from zone.

I'm seriously starting to wonder if this is the case.

I cant remember any coaching staff with as much turnover as McVays.

I know some of it is poaching, but guys don't seem to have a problem leaving.

Maybe he's outgrowing that initial group of coaches who came with him. Not like he chose any of them for bigger roles...

McVay appears to be an impatient coach. So you are either part of the solution or you are part of the problem. If you are part of the problem you will be replaced (players and coaches). I’m a bit concerned but he was right with Coach Wade, Peters, Fowler, Gurley and likely Goff. He was likely wrong with Coach Bones and Cooks but thats water under the bridge at this point.

Most have left for higher-level roles ...

DC to Head Coach (Staley)
Ass’t HC to DC (Barry)
Passing Game Coordinator to OC (Waldron)
CB coach to Passing Game Coordinator/Secondary Coach (Pleasant)
Ass’t OL Coach to Run Game Coordinator (Dickerson)

In prior years, LaFleur and Taylor for HC positions; and Olson for an OC role with the Raiders.

The exceptions were Johnson (DL), Phillips, Fassel, Peete, Bonamego and now, the unexplained Kromer. One thing all these guys have in common (Fassel being an exception) is they were all over-50.

McVay is extremely arrogant. And not at all accountable. He makes the same mistakes repeatedly, yet gets upset at others for doing so. Always looking to point the finger at others for the shortcomings of the offense. I've said it in several other threads. This isn't just poaching. Guys actively look to leave. We're the NFL equivalent of Wall Street law firm or investment bank with a dick / hypocrite / conceited managing partner - associates want to come here, put in a year or two to hopefully learn a few things while getting a big name on the resume, and gtfo.

As previously stated, almost all previous coaches that left were due to getting promotions elsewhere.

IMHO Fassel left because of a personality clash... I remember McVay was livid (understandably so) when there was a “miscommunication” and Fassel went for a fake punt without McVay’s approval.

As for Kromer, I’m gonna speculate this is due to an off-field problem on Kromer’s part. That whole thing about having a tussle with a teenager over a lawn chair was definitely weird. Might be issues related to substance abuse or anger management, who knows. Just speculation on my part, obviously.

NFL Coaches do not often turn-down promotions.

Kromer is a mystery right now but Staley, Waldron, Barry, Pleasant and even assistant OL-coach Dickerson all left for higher-level coaching roles this off-season; as did LaFleur, Taylor and Olson in past off-seasons.

McVay has gotten rid of a number of coaches ...
DL coach Johnson replaced with Henderson
Wade replaced with Staley
RB coach Peete replaced with Brown
Bonamego replaced with DeCamillis

Were these bad moves? I don't think so.

That leaves Fassel and now Kromer (unexplained).
