Typical FSU type player. The exact opposite is a guy like Anchrum (Man I wish he didnt get hurt)....screw the Noles.....

The feelings of Jalen Ramsey (and Lamarcus Joyner, for that matter; he was great for us) are hurt.

Dude

we offered plenty for CMC. got outbid by the 9ers
we offered 2 1sts plus for Brian Burns… they turned us down
we may have wanted Hunt, but we didn’t have a 4th and I guess they think he’s worth a 4th so they turned down any other offers
we seem to have offered a 2nd for Cooks, but the Texans FO wasn’t willing to make the alterations to make thar happen

we didn’t have a 1st for Chubb this year and they got that from Miami

it’s not like we didn’t try, but we blazed a trail and just didn’t have the ammo that we’ve had in the past as others have seen the light with respect to McSnead’s team building methods

I get that but you can't tell me they couldn't find any other options out there better than Lewis/Hollins, or Rivers at , or any of our OGs that would've been solid backup plans.

You mean to tell me they didn't have any fallback options to those that aren't any better than Hollins/Lewis, Rivers, or any of our OGs?

I hear ya. Jalen has changed my mind a bit. But he really changed when he got on the Rams. We was an azz at FSU and Jax....

Fans are not privy to what the asking prices were from various GMs. Some stuff will leak but we will never know for sure. Perhaps the Rams tried but the price was just not worth paying.

I am very sceptical, however, that we could not have improved upon our edge and/or RB situation without breaking the bank. It would not require a big-name player, or even a tier 2 player, to improve upon those position rooms.

It is nice seeing the Rams have some draft capital, but I think the lack of moves made to address the roster was mistake.

There is no rule that says any player acquired has to be a rental. We could have identified players that would be part of the plan into next year or even the year beyond.

What pisses me off about not even making a trade, is it pretty much tells us fans that they threw in the towel for this season.
Surprised you feel that way. If the reports are accurate about the offers extended for McCaffrey and Burns, the Rams made a significant effort to up-grade the 2022 team.

Other than Bradley Chubb, who was traded today that you may have wanted? Chubb got back a 2023 first round pick, and a little more. The Rams would have needed to just start with their 2024 first rounder to make a competitive offer. And Miami is in better cap space to sign Chubb long-term, or Franchise Tag him.

Yeah people aren't paying attention if they think the Rams didn't try to add to the team. We obviously did it just didn't work out and we were out bid a couple times at least or our offers were just turned down.

It's not a good day for draftniks like me because I was at least expecting us to deal Akers for football stitching - and that's just the very least.
You have a Lombardi in your back pocket and a juicy 2nd round pick to play with. Well, until Les trades down with it. This is almost gonna be like the Fish days. :laugh3:

My only complaint is how they have handled the RB room. I think they completely mismanaged it. And I think the RB coach will be fired at seasons end. Hopefully the TE coach too. McVay needs to reevaluate his opinion of some of his offensive staff, and that's if he doesn't get lured away this offseason by TV deals.

But they should have added a RB who can eat some carries. Lot of other teams did for cheap. Pisses me off.

The Edge types and players who require top picks, the Rams were just not in the ballpark. Teams look at our picks like they're gonna be end of round, on top of the fact we don't have shit to offer in trade compared to the rest of the teams copying what we did last season. So no reason to rage about all that. But the indecision with the backfield on the other hand...

Yeah they could have gotten a decent RB - even the Jets got one for a fairly low pick

It's not a good trade deadline day when you can't even get rid of a player who you don't want and won't play for you.

Haven't thought about this aspect until you brought it up. It was McVays call to move Thomas Brown to TEs and hire the young RBs coach out of CFB. How much of the blame with Akers goes to him? I still think our OL is the main culprit for our running woes but this is probably a factor.
