There's definitely a market for them as collectibles.
I don't consider them classics, more a touch of nostalgia when i was growing up and old enough to take driving lessons.
As far as classics go, I spotted this Mercury Comet parked up last Sunday.
You Americans sure knew how to make nice cars.
Now that's a classic.
Anyone know what yea? I'm thinking mid 60s.

There aren't many -- the Lamborghini Diablo which replaced the Countach in 1990 ?
Toyota Supra 1992 , Ferrari F355 , McLaren F1 .
But for the most part they haven't aged well. And I wouldn't consider many classics.
Some consider the Ford Mustang Foxbox a classic I suppose ... each to their own I guess.
