9 deep-threat WRs Rams should target in free agency
There are plenty of options out there for the Rams at wide receiver this offseason.

No, you're actually right about it being 8, because there's no way Agholor should be a consideration.Sorry. 9 deep threats
Noooo thank you. I thought the same! No, you're actually right about it being 8, because there's no way Agholor should be a consideration.
He drops as many as he catches and he wants big $$.
Woods can get deep when there is another deep threat that occupies a safety.I think Jones is the best fit, but I'm not sure there will be any cap room available for the position. That might bring some of the less talented guys on the list into play.
We know Woods can go deep, the Rams just haven't used him that way recently.
Fun things to think & talk about during the off-season.
But reality is that the deep threat is already on the roster and we add a draft pick and/or super cheap vet to the WR corps (Unless we get crazy and trade one of Woods/Kupp).
He isn’t a bigger receiver at 5’10” and is a burner at 4.24 speedI could see the Rams seriously looking at Jones Jr. He's a bigger Reciever, excels at the deep ball although he isn't a burner, and is a physical go get it 50/50 ball guy. Something we seriously need... Not to mention him and Stafford have a great connection.
Pretty sure Jones Jr is 6'2"He isn’t a bigger receiver at 5’10” and is a burner at 4.24 speed
Look at the link in the first threadPretty sure Jones Jr is 6'2"
Did you mean Marvin Hall? because Marvin Jones is 6'2" like otteman said.He isn’t a bigger receiver at 5’10” and is a burner at 4.24 speed
It’s thoughts like these that make sense until Sneed drafts 3 straight defensive players...SMHDraft a WR and a Center. Offense ready to go. IMO. They will have a shot at a speedy weapon in round 2 IMO. They should also have some nice center options in round 3.
I realize this thread is about possible receivers for the Rams to consider this offseason. But presently there are no salary funds to acquire such talent. So my small brain diverts to take a look deep into what Snead & Mcvay have under contract now first.
Rams do have a number of receivers that we as fans have never seen play or seen utilized as a deep threat.
Van Jefferson has not been involved with many deep passes for obvious reasons. But it has been reported by numerous pre-draft & post draft articles that Van Jefferson has excellent deep speed which is very deceptive. Rams utilized a 2nd round selection on him last season & barely used him with Goff. It could be a difference between night & day with our new QB. I know this has been brought up before but I throw it out again:
At the Senior Bowl, he was clocked as the fastest receiver at 21.05 mph, and this is faster than Denzel Mims (20.26 mph), who ran a 4.39 40 at the combine. The great thing about this comparison is that it is a measure of speed with the pads on and also with the mental processing complications of a play on the field.
This stat shows just how fast Rams rookie Van Jefferson is (usatoday.com)

Nsimba Webster is known to us & has been seen in the 2019 pre-season. He does have very good speed & knows McVay's system very well. Webster is not very tall & only 180 but he ran a 4.4 forty consistently & a 6.7 3 cone at Wash.

J.J. Koski is also a brand new Ram who none of us has seen play in a Ram uni. I have read that he has elite speed, route running talents change of direction is perfection.
