I saw one acticle & no response to 6 straight scoreless quarters by The Rams defense.

I understand The Rams haven’t played against the best offenses in the NFL. It is still impressive, plus Talib said in the first /qrts the defense was just freestyling, because they had no film on the Raiders.

Add Aaron Donald is only going to get better.

Phillip Rivers.....who really is captain checksown a lot of the time.....is going to score.
That Chargers O is good and will put points.
I expect the Rams to win, but, the Rams D will have to outplay the Chargers D.
No Bosa helps the cause.
31-24 good guys.

The 6 zeros are great. However, the Raiders and Cardinals offense are not as good as the Chargers offense. This game will be revealing as to just how good the Rams defense is. The Chargers have Gordon and Ekeler as a potent one two punch out of the backfield. They play both with Ekeler lining up on the outside and moving around. They have 3 very good WRs in Allen, Williams and Benjamin. They are hurt on the offensive line but, Rivers is very good and can get the ball out in a hurry.

The Cardinals have had 24 possessions and have scored 6 points in two games. 4 of 20 on 3rd down conversions. 4 YPA passing and announced they are scaling back the playbook.

This is an historically bad O. The Rams really highlighted that with the lopsided win. And the Bears this week. So it's possible they may get shut out again. LOL.

It's delicious!

As much as I like our D the Raiders and Cards have scored 38 points combined in two games. That's pretty pathetic really. Let's see how we do against the next stretch of teams that actually have an offense. The Chargers O is no joke. This is the first real test, IMO

Had to edit myself. Chargers did play Buffalo and KC so they didn't exactly play the steel current lol

Chargers have weapons underneath (specifically Grodon and Ekeler) so I think they're going to be able to make good gains in the passing game if Rivers gets to his checkdowns. It really will be a test of our pass rush this week. I actually think our pass rush or lack thereof will determine if we win or lose this week.

Oddly, from a skill position standpoint, their offense mirrors ours - three deep talent at WR with stud RBs who can run and catch. AND NO TIGHT ENDS!

I have no concern about the Gordon and Ekeler in the passing game, as Wade has been playing John Johnson and Marqui Christain in the box. I think it's a good matchup for us.

But when you are in the fact that Arizona only scored 6 of those points, that leaves Oakland with 32. And remember when the Rams figured out what Oakland was doing and making adjustments at half time, having no game tape to go by, the Rams shut them down in the second half. And it's not just that the Rams skunked the Cardinals, they didn't even allow them across the 50 yard line until the last few plays. So he's Chargers may score, but not much.

I don’t know @fearsomfoursome, it will be fun to see if our defense can shut Phillip Rivers down. Our defense might be historically good
If the D does keep the Chargers to 13 points or less, that will have people going out of their minds. Check back with me at 4:30 PM on Sunday and we will either be laughing or crying about the 13 points.

Something I just realized... McVay is undefeated against the AFC. We swept the AFC South last season & beat Oakland to start this season. 5-0.
Yup. Lost to Washington, Seattle, Minn, Philly, San Fran and Atlanta.

Dammit

Those guys get paid, too

Shut the fuck out in professional football!

Getting a couple of good warm-up games in there can only help our defense solidify in the long run I would think.

Well since the starters never really played in the preseason. Now the defense is just going to get better.
