The Horns have to first feed Forbes intravenously until he actually looks like a primetime NFL starting CB. Scarecrows won't get the job done against some of the beefy WRs, TEs, & RBs he will face.
Every time I see someone mention his name I picture that image someone posted of the kid running over the other kid with his monster truck. :laugh4:

The biggest move we made was getting the extra 1st rounder next year. That's so massive to be able to actually have the capital to go up and get the QB we want for the future.

Here's the thing about Chris Paul, using my scientific scouting method:

The name. The name "Chris Paul" just sounds like the name of a guy who's gonna be a stud in this league. I think there might be a guy with the same name in the NBA, but then again I wouldn't know for sure because I can't even fucking spell "NBA." But the name Chris Paul for an ILB ... that just wreaks of future stardom in this league.

Who's with me?

"Breaking news: Rams officials have already reached Chris Paul and begun training him with the scent of Saquon Barkley's jock. We will update as we learn more of this developing situation."

Think that's a huge mistake unless they actually trade for Ramsey, uncover some hidden UDFA gems, or if we have a surprise current player that improves by leaps and bounds. At least one player there would have been nice.

Fans have just been way too low on our CBs. There is probably a CB or two that would be better than what we have that we could have gotten with the first rounder, but some of those guys will be worse than what we have too. Was never as big a need as most fans made it out to be

Finally some speed at ILB. Rams have been hopeless in our ILB pass coverage
As well as QB'S appearing to be sacked and escaping for long runs.

Speights with a year of Nfl training under his belt will make another step forward.
Now has a sidekick with sideline to sideline range and a very good tackler.

I know most of you are as tired as I am of watching our ILB's seeming to always be a step or two short
in making plays

Getting faster as a team seems to be a priority for McSnead this year. Happy to see it.

We basically deferred a first until next year and a good chance it will be a higher pick than our own first pick.

Then we essentially converted a 3rd to a 2nd, and two 6ths into a 5th. And used another 6th plus next yrs fourth to get a 5th, and we still have a leftover 7th.

What we started with and what we ended up with. Not exact trades, just where we began the draft vs what we ended up with.

1. ---> next yrs 1
3. ---> 2
3. ---> 3
4. ---> 4
6. ---> 5
6. ---> 5
6. ---> 7
6.

We have to remember that when it comes to CB , OL or a key injury that we have insurance.
The #1 we got from the Falcons can be used to secure the final piece of the puzzle for a SB run if the need arises.

It's not just a run @ Nuss or Manning in 26 Chip

I'm not so sure on that one. I believe that room could and should be improved upon. We have a bunch of JAGs at the moment.
