We need to strongly consider trading back. The following 2 trades will give us valuable R2/R3 picks for our middle defense:
Trade 1: R1.23 for R2.37/R3.72
Trade 2: R2.37 for R2.52/R3.88
Keep: R3.87

R2.52 - Tim Settle - NT - VT
R3.72 - Duke Ejiofor - OLB - WF
R3.87 - Lorenzo Carter - OLB - GA
R3.88 - Micah Kiser - ILB - UVA

I sort of expect a track back from 23 also.

Draft value chart says Rams pick #23 is worth 760 points.

Approx value trades:

We could trade our 1st rounder (760 points) for the Bills two 2nd round picks, #21 and #24 in second rd. (370 plus 340 = 710 points).

Carolina’s second rounder plus two 3rd rounders would be roughly equal in value, as well.

Seems pretty rare for a team to trade away its lone first rounder for lower picks. Then again, Rams had a monster draft last year without one (Everett, Johnson, Kupp, Ebukam, Smart)

We need to let Free Agency shake out before we see where our holes are.

Would be nice to not have to immediately fill NT, ILB or center with a rookie.

I'm confident we can get our center or OLB at our #23 pick, but if we want a dominating NT or ILB we will need to move up from the looks of it.

If we could get one more dominant defensive player it would be lights out for the NFL (Vea, Payne, Evans, Smith)

I cant rmemeber but from one of the trades (ogletree?) we got a 4th rnd pick but didnt know which. Did we get the earlier one or the later one?

I think at least one or two of the 6ths could be sweeteners on a trade back scenario. Basically, we give them up in a trade back to make it happen.
