Do we resign Kyren now?

Grade Analysis

Chiseled, high-energy, super-productive SEC RB with the cutting skill and contact balance to thrive in the NFL. Vision of an experienced runner. Sharp cuts. Love his North-South approach. Another smart Rams selection. My comparison was ironically Kyren Williams. (Chris Trapasso)

Would personally trade him at the Deadline.

This is why it was best to wait until after the draft and even training camp to resign Williams.
I think he's going to have to either play out this year without a contract or request a trade.

Looks to me like the Rams drafted a somewhat similar player to KW and Corum but with a bit more speed.

I think it will be a simple progression: KW finishes out the year as RB1, Corum RB2, and Hunter RB3.

Then KW leaves, Corum bumps up to #1 with Hunter heavily involved as #2.

Makes me wonder what the plans for Kyren are. He's entering his final year on the rookie deal. Haven't heard anything new about an extension. They now have Corum and Hunter. Similarly built running backs. Runs tough, Low center of gravity. I imagine he'll be sitting behind Kyren and Corum for a year. Might be the kickoff returner.

Most people have been posting over the offseason that the Rams needed more explosive playmakers on offense.
They have drafted two guys who can make explosive plays and beat some guys, break tackles etc.
The picks make sense and I like it.
Replacing the role Height played with another guy who is athletic and aggressive is fine too.

Was one of the top 2 (if my memory is right) in explosive runs last year.
They added him for that purpose....I think he unseats Corum as the two pretty quickly.

I think the Rams have a number they don't have to move off of with Kyren.
But, a 4th round guy isn't really brought in to replace him I don't think.
I think he resigns but his % of total carries goes down with year with solid and now more explosive back up options.
A win-win for the team I think.

A fully healthy Corum barely saw the field last year. Kyren will get his. This kid may be RB1 by mid season
