Two hundred and sixty eight.

197 passing.

71 rushing.

268 total.

Two hundred and sixty-eight total yards.

For comparison's sake, Eli Manning, Kirk Cousins, Matt Ryan, Marcus Mariota, Derek Carr, Josh McCown, Tom Brady, Luke McCown, Cam Newton, Ryan Fitzpatrick - all these players individually outgained our entire offense. Jameis Winston came close.

What do you do with an offense that can't run the ball or pass the ball? Seriously, what do you do?

And we went into the game facing the Steelers, who ranked 26th defensively in yards per game.

Switch to read option and mobile qbs who can hide the offensive line problems.

Hand the ball off to gurley and mason all day long.

HAD Ben...for 2 1/2 quarters, during which the Rams D was on its heels a lot and had no answers to the slants and Ben recognizing coverages and changing plays....no injury to him and Pittsburgh wins that game more like 20-6.

Chris Givens was our leading rusher.

If we don't get this run game going, we have no chance.

You try to find a way to generate points, of course.

this is a joke... one big reason why i want fisher gone - he's a great defensive coach, but has no sense for offense... just like martz was - all offense and no defense. One side of the ball was strong and the other was weak - head coaches need to have balance, and fisher has been here too long for any excuses to be valid, imo. This is his team - he built it.

How? Against the Redskins, we had 217 total yards of offense. Are we waiting for the O-line to gel? For Gurley to play? For Quick to play? This is a spectacularly inept offense at the moment, and I am really struggling to see any sliver lining with all the clouds.

Our guys aren't getting open, if they are Foles isn't seeing them or not throwing it to them, if he's not doing that they're dropping it. If that's not happening we're getting no running lanes, if that's not happening we're taking away yards with penalties.

Our offense is an unrefined, unmotivated, poorly executed and uncaring joke and it starts from coaching. What stands out to me is Britt on the sideline yukking it up with Foles after they just LOST the game by turning it over on downs, I'm sorry but who the fuck is laughing immediately after basically having the game taken out of their hands?

No urgency, no care. This O will remain shit until somebody holds them accountable to do better.

My guess is to continue to work on the running game and get Gurley more heavily involved. Once that happens, they can start to take more shots down field. There were plays for the taking today, but execution wasn't on point. So they either clean that up or they'll continue to struggle. Back to the drawing board.

Yeah... but the offense has been at the drawing board for over a decade. Maybe they should hire someone whose idea of "amazing drawings" doesn't look like a three-year-old scribbling on the wall with his own poop.

I'm open to suggestions. But right now, in this point in time, we're riding with who we have until the end of the season. You don't change coordinators mid-season and expect the team to adapt on the fly like that. So for the duration, I think my plan of trying to get the run game back on track is the most feasible.

The run game is definitely our biggest problem right now. We can't run for shit and it's putting us in 3rd and longs we aren't equipped to handle.

Shouldn't the other team you root for be playing? Quit with the Tebow already there's a reason he's in an announcers booth and not even holding a clip board on the sidelines.

You say that, but it worked for Pittsburgh a few years ago with Todd Haley. I'm not really pointing at the coordinator, though... everything about our offense is putrid. It was putrid under Schottenheimer. It was putrid under McDaniels. It was kinda OK under Shurmur.. at least in 2010. But it was putrid under him in '09. It was putrid under Saunders. It was putrid under Olson. It was pretty bad under Fairchild.

The thing is, it's weird... there's no connection between all these horrid offenses. We've turned over coordinators seven times. We've turned over the entire O-line five or six times, it seems. We've churned through WRs. We've churned through top-caliber RBs. We've gone through Bulger, Bradford, Davis, Hill, and now Foles at QB. We've gone through 5 head coaches, one of whom turned out to be an offensive genius in Dallas. Shit, we've had three ownership groups, if you consider Chip and Lucia one in and of themselves. Yet every year, our offense is bad. And not just bad, but fucking intolerably bad. Boring to watch. Predictable. No explosion. Nothing.

And now we're watching a team that takes two games to generate enough yardage to be considered an "offensive explosion" by normal teams. What the hell.

Well, if Kendricks catches the can of corn that's another 30+ so we're over 300

We left a lot of yards out there. I don't think Cignetti is the issue but the execution and penalties are what continue to plague this team.
