This dude. Did he ever play ball? Seems like he doesn't understand how competition works.
Higs will need to beat out Parkinson and maybe Ferg in camp for that inline role. He's capable of it, but the coaching staff trusting him isn't going to be what determines things. Competition will determine things. And competition is not a mess. It's an assurance that whoever wins will have their best chance at getting it done in the scheme.

Well, we heard this with Kupp, and later we heard it with Puka, and Daniels has some awesome tape. Not saying he'll be as good as the former two at their peak, but I've heard a lot of good things about him (work ethic, attention to detail, good route running, etc.), and we've seen the ridiculous highlight reel catches ... so it won't come as a surprise if he has impact sooner rather than later.
His biggest obstacle might be playing behind Puka and Davante on a team with a stacked TE room and a propensity for 13 personnel.
Ugh, hate to hear BY might have a chronic thing with his knee. Hopefully just being super cautious. Maybe Stewart taking the next step lets BY stay fresh through whole season.
Wow, Stafford looks sort of small in those clips. I know he's 6'3" and bigger than the other QBs...just saying - it looks odd to me.
