Loved Ngakoue's game every time I watched him. I always though it was an achilles. No idea if an ankle is different than other breaks, but breaks are often not career ending, especially if he has had an entire year to recover. He'll be 31 this season. 32 just after the Super Bowl. So, older, but should still have gas in the tank. You can never have enough DEs. Particularly with Young always Gimpy. I doubt Ngakoue will be expensive given the circumstances, so I'd bring him in if the coaching staff doesn't think Josiah Stewart can take the next step. Anyone have the scoop on that?

Worth a look, if he doesn't come to the Rams would like to see him on the east coast with an AFC team.

Kyler named starter in Minny
I’m not surprised. If he can stay locked in for a full season he can help get them back to respectablity
I concur as I am not a fan of The Tiny Dancer, but he should be an improvement over what they've had recently and I expect the offense in Minnesota to be better although I am expecting @Mackeyser to put the jinx on those Vikings because he now resides there.

I expect @Mackeyser to ask Viking fans the following questions:

  1. Where was the last parade held after the Vikings won their last Super Bowl?
  2. How much taller was Fran Tarkenton then Kyler Murray?
  3. What did the H stand for in Hubert H. Humphrey?

That defense was lights out under the radar. Vikings could be pesky.
O'Connell has gone 43-25 with Cousins, Darnold, McCarthy, Wentz and Brosmer under center the last 4 years. Murray is nothing like any of them. It's gonna be interesting to see how this works out.

FWIW, O'Connell has a better record his 4 years than any 4 year period under Zimmer in Minnesota. Or Frazier. Or Childress. So there's that.

Yeah. I think Kyler had the best stock going into the vikings system other than Kirk. I'm intrigued.

After watching Kyler in Arizona it looks to me like they're not going anywhere this year. Pretty good division so a last place finish seems likely.

Do they have a much better roster than the Lions, Bears or Packers? Looks like 4th best roster and QB and a 4th place finish.

Vikings roster > Packers.

Keep in mind Vikings were one season removed from 14-3. They severely underperformed.

We’ll see if the Bears are for real. The 4th quarter magic act isn’t sustainable.
