Isn’t any evaluation of a draft pick premature then? Why are you and everyone commenting lol.

Those QBs were draft eligible just like Simpson. But they decided to stay for another year and bang college chicks while making $5M+ NIL. Simpson went into the draft.

Why can’t you make judgements/projections based on current information & performance? Isn’t that like 40-60% of what we all do here.
Dang, don't tell me you think Simpson is better than all or mist of the college QBs as a prospect too? If so, this type of glazing is embarrassing.

I’m not a QB scout - I have no idea.

I’ve said that I prefer bigger sized QBs for my Rams.

But for McVay, what matters to him is QBs who understand and them implementing his complicated offense, Reading D, making quick decisions, smart/football IQ, processing, willing to learn, etc.

Most QBs would get eaten alive by McVay - or he’d quit. Simpson seems totally his kid of guy. So fit wise for McVay (which matters way more than us) Simpson is near the top for this year and next. McVay is not taking some raw dude a being patient with him while he learns reading defenses, processing, etc.

Arch - I think McVay would like alot
Sellers - McVay would go crazy
Moore - McVay would go crazy
Saying - he’s smaller than Simpson and not as good
Chambliss - small and one on man
Leavitt - unless he jumps, not as good
CJ Carr - TBD but also unlikely we’d get him if he does well in 2026
Hoover/Mensah/Nico/Maiava - bunch of guys who either are not as good or would drive McVay crazy

So what you're saying is each QB you mentioned won't show any improvement next year? If so, that's an extremely ridiculous take. I was mostly responding to Coliseum Ram saying Simpson would be better than any QB coming out next year other than Arch Manning by the way. Crazy thing to say if you ask me.

You can't compare today Simpson with theoretical future attained talent of other QBs. You either compare them now as is......or compare them all (Simpson included) in the future (next year). But it's similarly crazy to compare what Simpson is right now today with the projection of other QBs. Stop making me a pimp for Simpson lol ;)

If its SO crazy give me a NAME that WILL be better.

I see you COULDNT do it on your FIRST attempt.

Care to try again?

Oh, and while you're at it, would you mind telling us how we are to ACQUIRE this proverbial "Gift from the Gods" whilst holding a pick in the nether regions of the high 20's/early 30's, presumably?

And why a team picking in the TOP FIVE would pass on acquiring this MASSIVE talent to gift it to "the Rams" for a pittance?

I'll hang up and listen.......

Quick question. If Stafford is back in 27', like many expect, is that an "all in year", especially if they fall short this year?

If it is an "all in year", would you oppose trading a 1st & 2nd plus a #1 in 28', for the opportunity to draft maybe the 4th or 5th best QB in next years draft? Keep in mind, they currently only have 5 picks in next years draft. For an all in year, they would get zero help in the draft. Not to mention cap space would be eaten up by extensions.

So not sure how anyone can complain about burning one pick on Simpson vs burning multiple picks next year. And with only 5 picks next year, the need to trade back and add picks might be the best option.

BTW, I agree that if Stafford were to retire in 27', Simpson, who played in a pro style offense, who then sat and learned a year under Stafford, plus a 2nd offseason under this staff in this offense, would be much better than a rookie who would be forced onto the field 5 months after the draft.

Do you punch your keyboard when typing because you are just way to emotional in your responses, holy shit :laugh4: ......you stated that Simpson is better than any QB in next year's draft. I was simply responding to how absurd that sounds. I'm not even talking about how the Rams would acquire a QB in next year's draft so simmer down there. Just saying there's zero way to know if there are other college QBs that may get better while also becoming better prospects than Simpson. Give you a name? LMAO.... I guess you really get caught up in your responses you don't actually read what I wrote. Its almost like you hold on to the first comment I make that infuriates you and hone in hahaha. You're sort of entertaining, I'll give you that, but neither you or I know how good the QB prospects will be next year vs Simpson. Word on the street has always been that the QB class in 2027 is way better than 2026. What changed? I'm going with glazing for 500 Alex :laugh4:

Nah you're not being a pimp but a simp for Simpson :laugh4:...... who's to say any prospect or even a few come out with better projections than Simpson? Compare them now? How? The college QBs aren't coming out so they are still working on their game in college. I'm sorry I'm even saying this, but comparing them now has got to be the craziest shit I've heard :laugh4::laugh4::laugh4::laugh4:. I have no other way to express that unfortunately. Should we include the comparison of top high school players too because Simpson might get to play around the time they are eligible? The simping/glazing is crazy. I'll keep saying the kid has a chance to become great, ok, badd, etc. That's the opportunity that being drafted in the NFL affords. Nothing is guaranteed past that regardless of anyone's opinion.

I was unfamiliar with Terrance Ferguson's all around game View attachment 75484View attachment 75485
Whenever my stepdad saw a top heavy woman like that who came across vapid, he would say, “ her brains must be in her chest.”
I know it was supposed to be a slight, but I always thought, “then she must be a genius!”

Ferguson is a professional athlete making professional athlete $$.
Her brains must be in her chest.

I know they traded the 3rd round pick but what other pick did they lose.

And I am hoping we get a comp pick when we inevitably lose our OC

A 7th to Baltimore in the Trev White trade. We got a 6th this year, and sent them a 7th for next year.

So the Rams have a 1, 2, 4, 5, 6

Hopefully they get a 3 for Scheelchasse next year.

Sadly, there will be a couple of possibilities that could net the Rams a 3rd round comp like Young or Avila/Dotson.

So you're giving these other QBs a year to improve yet not Simpson? Simpson with a year of NFL coaching could very well be better at that point. You can argue that others have better physical traits and should be improved and likely a better QB prospect NEXT YEAR. So say we don't draft Simpson. Who do we then draft next year and at what cost? The way you talk, you seem to think that QB you haven't named is a sure fire franchise QB. That is a pretty rare commodity in any draft. So who is it or who are your sure fire candidates? What I see are several QBs with potential to take a next step. Y'know... kinda like '26 was supposed to be when we were all talking about it in '25. Simpson very well could be better than anyone coming out next year. I'm not saying he will be but it's definitely possible and not all that crazy as you assume. I wouldn't get so invested in your opinion being the only non-crazy, non-ridiculous take.
