Its funny how some are set against Murray as an option, but were happy with Garoppolo as the #2
JG was virtually Kyler Murray a couple years back, his work ethic was questioned, his desires off the field seemed to be priority and he was cut from a big contract

Murray is a quitter, I don't want a quitter on the team even as a backup. It's been his MO since he's come into the NFL. You can see it in his body language every time something doesn't go his way. Does he have talent? Yes, but the talent comes with a quitter mentality which I don't think the Rams want any part of. Could he be changed? Maybe, but at this point he is who he is.

I'm not a big fan of Jimmy either. Dude throws a mean screen, and is comfortable moving 90+ yards down the field with 2-5 yard passes. I don't want to see that shit from my starter and fortunately McVay is on record saying he's not a fan of living underneath.

But as it pertains to backups they're all shitty QBs. Guys with holes in their game. And that's fine, provided they're willing to do the prep work.

Jimmy took SF to the title game. I don't think that happens if he's not doing the work. Watching the film. Knowing the game plan cold. His problem is he's limited as a QB physically, and he's got a tendency to settle for the checkdown. Which means he's safe with the ball for the most part, but requires the great defense and run game to win with.

Murray's a whole different animal I think. He's got the arm to gun that thing downfield. He's got the wheels to scramble drill for guys to get open deep. But I don't think he's got the compete in him for this level, that extra bit required to come out on top. And the fact he was more concerned with video games than studying speaks to this.

Sorry but as long as I've seen Jimmy G play I've never seen him not give a shit like Murray. He's also never been accused of his priorities being questioned (aka video games). You're just making stuff up.

Stop it.

Are you kidding? He didnt show up for practice for weeks in San Fran, was missing practice in Vegas and "allegedly" out nights on end with porn stars. Was suspended by the Rams for drugs....
Real choir boy

I’m still not convinced this Jimmy Garapalo guy exists and is on the Rams. I hear people mention his name but he’s like Keyser Soze.

PED drugs? Those drugs? or did he do a line of coke? lol. I mean common.

Yeah he was an idiot when he first came into the NFL, some players are but he's definitely grown up. Murray hasn't...

Anyways, the sooner another team signs Murray the sooner we can stop talking about this.

Big deal....

That's a preferred requirement for eligibility for a job in DC. :laugh2:

Let's see if the Dolphins can do anything with him

I wish Tutu all the best and hope the Dolphins can do something with him. His biggest problem with the Rams (in large part due to his small stature) is that he just was never a good fit for this team and this offense. With the right offense, he's probably worth some snaps and some deep shots in most games, because getting deep fast is one thing he's really good at. But in an offense where the WRs are expected to block and be physical as with the Rams ... just not a fit at all.
