IMO

In general with our HC, drafted & young Offensive players do not see the field much with rare exceptions. Mostly bench sitting or standing in street clothes on sideline. 4 yr Contracts normally expire with very little early help.

On the flip side .....Investments in Defensive selections, usually gets the Rams significant larger % of on opportunities on field to contribute to wins. primarily on our ST's. Sadly needs significant upgrading.
My favorite part of this post is that you are back @BonifayRam

Barion Brown ain’t much at WR but I could see him becoming famous as a return specialist based on how many TDs he scored at the college level
I don't have the greatest feel for the returners in this draft (haven't watched Brown). But I will say I don't want someone important doing it so I'm all for adding him late. We need a depth chart type who can take the risks in that role without threatening our prominent skill types.

There's the white boy from Iowa that could be had late as a kick returner. He's a fast lil spunky bastid, I'd take a late round flyer on him.
He's got great instincts in space with the ball. I'm sure McVay will like him as a depth chart piece too.

Also I think Heidenreich would be a great late round selection for the RB depth. Can't say enough about him, but he could contribute I think as a pass down threat from the backfield and stretch it for us.

This looks accurate. Who are the players, besides Love who's gotten a lot of discussion, that are worth a trade up?

Stated another way, if the Rams were trading up who would they be targeting?
There is nobody in the draft I'd trade all that for to move up. I guess I'd do it for Mendoza, nothing else. If Tyson is gone at our pick, I'm pretty comfortable Lemon or Cooper. Hell, I could be convinced of Concepcion if he's worked on his hands this offseason. In reality, if Fano somehow is there at 13, he might be too tempting to pass up and grab a WR in the 2nd.

Has this been posted? Apologies if so.
But I don't think this hurts his draft stock, this seems like a really weird reason to arrest someone.
feels like a nothingburger unless he has a hx of this stuff

Gee. My only point was that it was interesting the "skilled, smart football player" whose Dad is a long time QB Coach didn't have vastly superior stats.

Sorry you felt to need to do so much research.
And why is that point important, noteworthy, or relevant?

Just saw that. It does seem to be a weird charge but he must have been a real smart ass to law enforcement to get that kind of charge. Not a good look four days before the draft.

Extremely possible. I think Lemon is the only chance at 13. Better chance all 3 are gone though.
Starting to think if they insist on an offensive weapon, and the top 3 WRs are gone, then it might come down to Concepcion, Cooper & Sadiq. If so I could see them leaning Concepcion for his return ability. Had two return TDs last year. Plus, his speed is needed in this offense. As we know, it will depend if they feel his drop rate can improve, but I think they want what Shaheen gave Seattle in their offense and on STs.

What is the case for Kadyn Proctor?
One of the draft shows they were talking about how heavy Proctor showed up to camp at Bama. It was insanely heavy. So I think he's probably got a weight flag.

But he's effective. So damn big he won't get bullied by power rush in the NFL. And dudes gotta run around him with that long frame.

Important? Noteworthy? Relevant?

I thought I said that it was just interesting.

A kid with a HUGE advantage in having a dad who is a career professional QB coach all his life couldn't vastly put up better numbers than another kid who said to be bad at playing QB. Interesting to me. I guess not to you.

But, hey. Kurt Warner's son put worse numbers. Maybe we should be talking about him more.

Got it. Interesting like a dog on a skateboard. Good to know.

You're right. Shouldn't have spent time doing that research.

I actually wanted to start a thread regarding this exact topic - if the Rams are planning on moving up, who do you think they are after?

I can't even really speculate on a particular player.

I was thinking about starting one, too. You should do it.

Tate, Tyson, Love, Muigoa, Styles...If they see a difference maker, someone they deem to be a future HOF'er, they may make a move for him if the price is right. It could be anyone.

I'll admit that I'd certainly dream on this defense with Sonny Styles in the middle. Defensive line including V8, Agent Zero, Fiske and the Conductor ... McDuffie/ Watson/ Lake/ Curl and Kinchens on the back end with Peanut Punch Landman and Styles in the middle ... then grab a WR like Sarrett in the third round ... kind of delicious to think about, even if it is unlikely.
